Much of current defence strength lies in backend support. WIN, with its advanced technology, specialized skills, functional knowledge and strong quality compliance has worked closely with the OEMs through various stages of product life cycle to provide domestic defence systems with high end products & services:

Concept to detailed design: WIN has executed multiple mission-critical projects from concept to detailed designs of complete Hydraulic Systems. This includes supporting the product life cycle starting from R & D to design, software, electronic hardware and mechanical engineering to system assembly, certification and testing.

Prototyping: WIN has developed prototypes for several projects involving:

• Lab Validation - Exhaustive lab testing of system elements are undertaken, both for functional and endurance life assessment. WIN offers extensive experience in validation services, deep expertise in software life cycle validation, pre-certification and certification, test automation and SQA co-ordination across third party certification labs and OEM production support.
• Field Testing WIN has successfully participated in Field Testing/Trials, jointly, with OEMs and helped them troubleshoot and overcome the challenges faced.

Land defence Systems

Domestic and International Defence will have increasing dependency on systems that support tenants of ground warfare. Components of the highest quality for integration into high performance precision instruments will play a key role here. Mining techniques can be classified into two types of excavation - Surface Mining and Sub-surface (underground) Mining. This segment consists multiple equipment like Haulage, Tunneling, Drill and Rock Drills. s well as the standard models, NUMMI has many tipping cylinders designed for specific tasks.

Chip and peat cylinder

LT cylinders are suitable for use in chip and peat transport solutions. Cylinders are available both as single and double acting, for example a model with 4 stages of which the two smallest ones are double acting. This makes it possible to pull back the body after it has passed the tipping roll center. To provide the necessary safety, model range also includes 9 ton hydraulic support legs supplied with locking valves for truck or trailer.

Taylor made cylinders

The starting point of the design is a customer specific need in different operating conditions, in industry vehicles or lifting devices.Typical applications are mining machines, concrete moulds and special vehicles.

We offer full range of hydraulic tipping solutions for Rigid Tippers and Tip Trailers. Our designs have evolved with vast experiences from European and Indian design team. Front End Tipping

Front End Tippers have their load body hinged at the rear of the chassis, but are tipped by telescopic cylinders from the front of the body between the driver cabin and front of the body.

D- Series Front End Telescopic cylinders

Wipro D-series tipping units are designed with advanced specifications based on extensive field survey for reliable performance in wide applications.

Under Body Tippers have their load body hinged at the rear to the chassis. They are tipped using telescopic cylinders, which are mounted on the middle of the chassis. Sometimes a pair of telescopic cylinders (double jack) is often used to tip depending on the load carrying capacity of the Tipper.

The famous NUMMI twin ram tipping cylinder is a very strong model, where two cylinders provide a heavy duty lifting power as well as a good lateral stability for tipping.

The most important advantages:

- weight saving compared to front end tipping gears

- small oil volume = fast and safe operation and weight saving

- provides great tipping stability

- low center of gravity = improved stability in the traffic and in the tipping

Stability for multi-purpose bodies

When long bodies with drop-sides are used, or when the rigidity of the vehicle doesn't allow enough lateral support, the strength and sturdiness of NUMMI twin ram type, RT, is the best solution. It is also ideal for long trailers.

Wide range of use

NUMMI RT cylinders are available in various sizes, from two-axle utility vehicles to heavy trucks with 13-metre trailers and to the heaviest earth moving tasks. The maximum load allowed for these models vary from 16 to 50 tonnes.

Approved Nummiquality

To prevent wear and tear, friction on the seals has been minimised by having all ram tubes hard chrome-plated. Each ram has twin seals which keep the ram leak-proof even at extremely low temperatures.

Single cylinder NUMMI TT and SUT underbody tipping cylinders can be used for both three-way tipping and rear-end tipping. These models are characterized by small dimensions, so they can be fitted even to the cramped chassis of modern trucks.

Fast and durable

Being small in size, TT and SUT tipping cylinders arelight so payload of the truck is hardly affected. The hydraulic oil volume is small making the tipping cylinder lighter and faster as well. TT and SUT models can be used for three-way tipping because the cylinder has a rotating joint in the chassis and the body. The way the cylinders are mounted makes them free from side loads. Together with the hard chrome-plating this makes long life cycle possible.

For over 10 meter long bodies

NUMMI underbody-tipping cylinder model range consists of models for smaller vehicles as well as for over 10-meter long trailer bodies. A high 250 bar operating pressure makes sure the lifting power is sufficient for heavier bodies as well.

To be easily fitted to different trucks and applications

The TT-cradle design makes it easy to adjust the mounting height. TT and SUT tipping-gears differ from each other by the cradle and the tipping angle limiter.

NUMMI underbody tipping cylinders have proved their reliability over time and they are now amongst the most used underbody tipping gears in the Europe.

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering Oy also manufactures single-stage double or single-acting hydraulic cylinders. They are used, amongst others, in the cargo handling, mining, forestry, freight and waste processingindustries.

Within Wipro, the single stage cylinders are devided into different groups depending on the size and the working pressure. Groups are big, medium sized, small cylinders and heavy cylinders with high pressure. Cylinders made in Pernio are mainly medium sized. Typical clients for Wipro's single-stage cylinders are the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) who distribute their products world-wide.

Stabilising NUMMI front tipping cylinders have been designed not only for lifting but also for giving stability during tipping. For this reason, they are well suited for vehicles with long bodies or tipping semitrailers.

Maximizing front axle payload

In the NUMMI JTC and JTD models, the cylinder is attached to the body with lifting arms which absorb vibrations during transport and allow the flex between the body and the chassis. Because of this attachment method only a small space is needed for the tipping cylinder between the cab and the body. This allows the body to be brought further forward to fully utilise the front axle capacity. The difference between the JTC and JTD models is the type of the attachment on the bottom end.

The NUMMI DFC model is equipped with a cover tube with which it is attached to the body. The cover tube prevents inpurities entering the cylinder during driving. TheDFC model is suitable for long bodies and large loads. The patented cover tube construction and the long overlaps of the cylinder tubes provide a stabilising effect during the tipping.

The NUMMI DFE cylinder is attached from the top directly to the front wall of the body and the front wall needs to be sloped. This attachment method enables the tipping cylinder to be lightweight, giving maximizing payloads. TheDFE model has the similar cylinder tubes as the DFC model so it is also suitable for heavy-duty work which requires increased stability.
