Angle boards and edge protectors are used to protect strap.
Angle boards and edge protectors are used to protect strap from sharp edges and enable smooth flow of strap during tensioning. They can be fabricated from boards or steel strip with various finishes.
Cold Rolled Steel Strip is produced, as the term suggests by the further rolling of HR (HOT ROLLED) STRIPS. Prior to cold rolling, the surface scale of HR has to be removed, normally by the Pickling Process which uses mechanical manipulation (around small diameter rolls) and acid to dissolve the surface scale. The surface is then washed to remove the acid and a light oil added to prevent rusting.
These steel strappings are manufactured from carefully selected chemical compositions which offer the desired properties to the finished products and also enhancing the economic value addition (EVA). These products are commercially competitive compare to the other heavy duty grades but at the same time are a perfect matched in terms of the fit for purpose application.
Cold rolling gives steel higher strengths, flexibility to have closer control of thickness and a smoother surface. However it reduces the ductility and the ability of the material to take shock loads. These properties are achieved by the superior Walzen heat treatment process which gives a superior quality strapping material with high strength, close tolerances, high yield point and necessary ductility to bend it around sharp corner
Painted and waxed coating enables tension transmission around load corners and also serves the dual purpose of corrosion resistance. Compared to conventional cold rolled steel strapping. ToughtronRs high toughness allows it to elongate further without breaking to better absorb shocks during transit and handling.
Finishes : Straps are painted on-line and are treated with a hard wax coating. This lubrication allows the strapping to flow smoothly in automated machines, tools and around corners of products.

Walzen BALE-ONRStraps are manufactured from medium carbon quality cold rolled steel strips. produced in -house in consistent quality.
The straps are then deburred. austempered. painted and waxed in a continuous line with automatic controls, incorporating the latest state of the art technology. The straps have extra-high break strength with adequate ductility and are used for baling of jute. cotton, textile etc.
Tool balancers are used to suspend strapping tools from a fixed ceiling bracket for heavy tools which cannot be hand held.

In case of manual machines, strap feeding to the tensioner is done manually. To reduce the manual effort and increase strapping speed, motorised strap feeders are used to pull the strap end and feed it.
Manual hand tools are the most basic tools for strapping.
They do not require any power source and are suitable for light weight packages where the high degree of compactness of the package is not required and strapping rates are not very high.
The manual tensioners bring strap around the package applies tension manually to hold package tightly. Mosttensionershave a base which goes under thestrappingand rests on the flat surface of the object being strapped.

Pneumatic sealers can seal with higher sealing pressure and seals can be notched twice in one stroke thereby increasing the sealing strength

Sealers are used to join both the ends of tensioned strap to secure the strap and the package. The joining of tensioned strap ends is done with the help of seals which are notched by the sealer along with the strap ends.
Strap dispensers are used for smooth decoiling of strap coils so that strapping is not hampered.
