We manufacture superior quality Fire safe thermal
Insulation Foam, which is popular in the markets across the country, for its high performance and long lasting structure. The Thermal Insulation Foam offered by us has closed cell structure that resists water ingression. Apart from usual features like resistivity to fire, chemicals and Moisture, it also has other Environment Friendly properties that make it the best available Insulation Foam in the market.
Some of the important features of our ECOTHERM Foam are listed below : Insulation Performance- It has a high closed cell content >90% and fine cell structure enclosing a high molecular weight gas in the cell. The result is a thermal conductivity of 0.019 w/mk,
- The lowest of any commonly available insulation material, which allows thinnest possible insulation to achieve the required thermal insulation performance.
Fire Behavior- Ecotherm insulation products rated class 0 as prescribed in the building regulations approved document B of 1992 and achieve a smoke obscuration rating of <5% when tested in accordance with BS 5111: part 1 (classified as neglible)
Environmental properties- Ecotherm is manufactured entirely without CFC / HCFC blowing agents .It provides designers and specifies with an optimum solution towards compliance with international environmental agreement. It also contributes to energy efficient system.
Energy efficiency & system running costs- Ecotherm offers the most thermally efficient insulation available when specified to BS 5422. Ecotherm offers a significantly better insulation performance than all other insulation materials. Providing an energy saving benefit and lower long term system running costs.
Moisture resistance- Ecotherm Products have >90% closed cell structure which makes them highly resistant to moisture penetration and is also non-wicking. It is the ideal insulation material for cold, chilled, low temperature hot water and cryogenic applications.
Chemical resistance and compatibility- Ecotherm products have excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, mild acids, alkalis, solvents and are compatible with many solvent based coatings, GRP resin systems and adhesives. Ecotherm products are Rodent & insect proof.
Hygiene- Ecotherm products are non-fibrous, resistance to fungus and mould growth, will non-sustain vermin are odorless and non-tainting.
Fire Performance- The fire performance of Ecotherm phenolic foam is exceptional. It combines zero or very low flame spread with negligible smoke emission and a very low level of toxic gas emission.
- Phenolic foam, in an appropriate form, had achieved fire certification.
- In addition, Ecotherm phenolic foam used in factory engineered composite panels can achieve up to 2 hours fire resistance rating (insulation/integrity) in the 3m furnace test.
- It evolves exceptionally low smoke when exposed to fire and is capable of meeting or exceeding all international building regulation requirements.
- Toxic gas emission from Ecotherm foam is generally limited to carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide with very low levels of other gases.
Thermal Performance- Ecotherm Phenolic foam offers a range of thermal conductivity performance. The closed cell type offers the lowest thermal conductivity available from any insulation material resulting from
- Closed cell structure
- Extremely small cell diameter
- Low thermal conductivity gas permanently encapsulated in cells
- Ecotherm Phenolic foam can be up 50% more thermally efficient than other common insulation materials. Higher thermal efficiency allows reduced insulation thicknesses to be used thereby saving valuable space.
Structural Strength- Ecotherm Phenolic foams have an excellent strength/density relationship being lightweight but strong. Higher density phenolic foams are typically used for :
- Pipe supports
- Duct supports
- Steel faced composite panels (including walk-on ceilings)
- Structural phenolic foam is typically made in 80kg/m3, 120kg/m3 and 160kg/m3 densities.
- 1m of the product is capable of supporting the weights set out below.
- 80 kg/m3 64 tones
- 120 kg/m3 112 tones
- 160 kg/m3 225 tones
- This data clearly demonstrates the excellent structural performance of phenolic foam.
- Phenolic foam has been used successfully in structural applications for over 15 years.
Typical Applications- For ducting, piping, roofing insulation in following industry
- Textiles
- HVAC industry
- Food processing
- Pharmaceutical
- Hospitals
- Suspended ceilings and roof insulation for commercial complexes, residential buildings, industrial building & structures
- Insulation of high altitude shelters and ships
- Refrigerated containers
- Cold stores panels
- Petrochemical and Gas processing
- Lifesaving equipment such as life jackets, buoyancy block and other marine equipment.
