Mahua Flower / Madhuca Indica (Madhuca longifolia) : The mahuwa flower is edible and is a food item for tribals. They are used to make syrup for medicinal purposes. They are also fermented to produce the alcoholic drink mahuwa, a country _liquor. Tribals of Bastar in Chhattisgarh and Orissa, Santhals of Santhal Paraganas (Jharkhand), Koya tribals of North-East Andhra Pradesh and tribals of North Maharashtra consider the tree and the mahuwa drink as part of their cultural heritage. Mahuwa is an essential drink for tribal men and women during celebrations. The main ingredients used for making it are chhowa gud (granular mollasses) and dried mahuwa flowers. Mahua flowers are also used to manufacture jam, which is being made by tribal cooperatives in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
Hudar /Strychnine Tree (Strychnos Nux Vomica) is grown as a forage crop for sheep and cattle and as an ornamental. As a forage crop its feed value is slightly lower than that of alfalfa. Protein content ranges from 11 to 22%, and decreases as the plant matures.

Dry Avla / Indian Gooseberry (Phyllanthus Emblica)
Phyllanthus emblica, also known as emblic, emblic myrobalan, Indian gooseberry, or Dhatrik (in Maithili), or amla from Sanskrit amalika, Tamil, Suaklu in Zomi is a deciduous tree of the family Phyllanthaceae. It is known for its edible fruit of the same name.
Kaunch / Velvet Bean (Mucuna Pruriens ), also known as Cowhage, and velvet bean contains a very powerful neurotransmitter pre-cursor L-Dopa. Mucuna pruriens is a reputed remedy of Ayurveda in nervous and diseases. Traditionally, Mucuna pruriens is commonly used as carminative, hypertensive and hypoglycemic agent. Mucuna pruriens has been found to contain L-DOPA, 40 mg/g of the plant.
Makka / Maize (Zea Mays)
Makka / Maize (Zea Mays), known in some English-speaking countries as corn, is a large grain plant domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain the grain, which are seeds called kernels. Maize kernels are often used in cooking as a starch.

Vidari / Vidari Kanda and is a rejuvenating drug of Ayurveda. It is mainly used as reproductive tonic that promotes sexual desire, treats nocturnal emission in males and for females, treats menstrual disorders, menopause syndrome and uterus weakness. It is cooling, nourishing, and tonic. Vidari cures weakness. Due to cooling nature it helps in burning sensation in body, excessive heat and bleeding disorders. It is aphrodisiac and improves sperms in males. In some parts of country it is used as female contraceptive and to cause abortion. Vidari is tonic for heart. It lowers the high blood pressure and gives relief in angina. Due to refrigerant and tonic action, it is useful in fever. Vidari is also used as Substitute for Jivak (Microstylis musifera) and Rshabhaka (Microstylis wallichii).
