Vibratory Fluid Bed Dryer (VFBD) is by far the most efficient and cost effective equipment used for drying tea, both CTC and Orthodox varieties. Vikram's VFBDs are fitted with a specially designed Dual Damper that facilitates the two stage temperature drying process. The HRS-Gyrovane from Vikram India has a robust structure that ensures hassle-free performance. All working components, such as, Barrel, Worm, Vanes, Resistors, Trunnion, Feed hopper, Gable plate, Fastening bolts and Iris End Plate Cone are made of high quality Stainless Steel material of AISI-304 grade.

The aero-dynamically designed Axial Flow Fans from Vikram India are made of high quality aluminium alloy and are suitable for different sizes of withering troughs. These fans ensure uniformity of withering, reduce power consumption and are tested for vibration, noise levels, air delivery and static pressure.

Vikram India has developed Continuous Fermenting Machines (CFM) to suit the needs of different clients under different conditions of operation globally. In the process, the Company has achieved significant benchmarks like development of the widest, 52 inch, CTC unit in 2000 and later a 56 inch one in 2008. These CFMs are available as - a single or multi stage unit, horizontal or inclined or a combination of both.

M/C Load Capability

• The fermenter Trays with standard supplied motor is designed to sustain a loading of upto 8 kgs of macerated leaf / sq.ft area.

Low Height

• The machine is only 4'7" high from the ground level, easy to supervise, clean and maintain.

Stainless Steel Trays

• Heavy Duty, wide, perforated Stainless Steel Trays allow the humidified air through the leaf for proper fermentation as well as cooling of tea bed.

Drive

• A sturdy variable speed mechanical drive system facilitates wide variation in fermenting time from 30 minutes to 140 minutes in steps of 2-3 mins. With optional electrical variable speed drive unit more infinite variations can be available.

Controlled Feed

• A suitable Feed Conveyor with variable speed arrangement in provided for uniform controlled feeding, which automatically enhances the performance of the machine. Discharge conveyor can be incorporated on customer's request at extra cost.

Air Distribution

• An aerodynamically designed airduct facilitates uniform distribution of humidified air at 95% RH through the effective area of the machine to ensure uniform and even fermenting.

Centrifugal Blower

• A dynamically balanced centrifugal blower suitably designed to carry the humidified air from the mist chamber to the air duct through a ducting system is provided to achieve the desired temperature graph as well cooling of tea leaf. (Air Chamber to Blower mouth duct is optional).

Hygiene

• Suitable design features are incorporated to check bacterial contamination. Self-cleaning, easily removable brush cleans the Trays in the return circuit. The return circuit of Trays is exposed for easy inspection and maintenance.

Flexibility

• Suitable for both CTC and orthodox manufacture.

Design

• Neat as well as sturdy. The tea bed is uniformly and evenly maintained throughout. All parts are easily accessible for inspection, cleaning and maintenance. No accumulating or spillage of tea. The machine is ideal for on line manufacturing process.

• This machine is virtually maintenance free. Individually trays can be replaced wherever necessary with minimum downtime.

Vikram's Stalk Extractor performs dual function - it makes the tea stalk-free and also grades the tea during the extraction process, without breaking or greying the grains. Two aluminium perforated trays mounted on sturdy frames help fine tea particles to pass through while the larger particles with stalk are sifted out. This machine also acts as an efficient tea grading machine.

Vikram India offers Tea Breakers that are specifically designed to break tea particles efficiently, without crushing or greying the grains. The operating lever for adjustment of rollers has a wide scope and the rollers can be adjusted even while the machine is running. The conveyor on the machine ensures a steady and continuous flow of feed.

Arnot sorter from Vikram India has a sorting capacity of up to 1500 Kgs. The machine with its galloping motion ensures smooth sorting without greying the tea grains. The trays are made of teak wood and are fitted with wire mesh.

The optical colour sorter with a circulating sorting system ensures accurate sorting of tea grains. The in-built high speed, high resolution camera improves sorting efficiency. The machine allows a switching mechanism between single step and two-step sorting.

The green tea roaster from Vikram India is designed in a way that steam enters through both ends of the perforated shaft. The roaster rotates at a speed of 24 rpm. Steaming continues for 6 to 7 minutes and within this time the leaves are boiled. Roasting time depends on the tenderness of the leaves.

Roaster

• It is designed in such a way that steam enters through the both ends of the perforated shaft in which Roaster is fixed. Roaster rotates at a speed of 24 R.P.M. Shaft ends are coupled with rotating Union. Rotating Union is such a Unit that its one end rotates with the staff and other part is fixed with the steam delivery line.

Drive Unit

• This unit is a speed reducing unit. 5 H.P. 440 V. 3 Ph. 1440 R.P.M motor is used in, the unit with different size pulleys with different size belts so as to reduce the speed from 1440 R.P.M. To 24 R.P.M. i.e. 60 : 1 ratio.

Capacity

• In the Roaster 200 kg green leaf can be charged at a time USEIt is an essential item used in Tea gardens for manufacturing green Tea.

Operation

• After filling the Roaster with green leaves of 200 kg. Directly plucked from garden, doors of the Roaster are closed and switched for rotating, consequently steam lines are opened. Steaming continues for 6 to 7 minutes and within this time the leaves are boiled. If the leaves are not tender i.e. plucking after seven days then time of Roasting will go up by one minute to one and a half minute.

Profitability

• In old days the Tea gardens boiled the green leaves by hot water. Some gardens also follow this procedure till date but in this process quality and percentage of made tea is not up to the mark comparing with the new process. Barring inferior quality only 18% to 19% made tea is achieved in this process, but by using Roaster with steam high quality tea with 25% made tea is achieved, i.e. A gain of 6% to 7% in weight with superior quality.
