Colcin 20 Colistin Sulphate

  • Packing 100 Gm & 1 Kg
  • Vitamin B2 15 mg
  • Vitamin B6 15 mg
  • Niacinamide 60 mg
  • Protein Hydrolysate 60 mg
  • Water Soluble Base QS

Colcin 20 exerts a high bactericidal activity on both multiplying and resting susceptible bacteria. Colcin 20 interacts strongly with  phospholipids in bacterial cell membrane, penetrates into and radically disrupts its permeability and function. Colcin 20 has a  protective effect against the adverse effects of endotoxins as Colicin 20 has a high activity to bind and neutralize the endotoxins  produced by toxigenic strains of E.coli and Salmonella spp.

Properties :

  • Colicin 20 is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, by the oral route of administration is very safe, well tolerated  and no systemic or local adverse effects. Less than 0.5% of an administered oral dose is absorbed from G.I.T. Therefore the  antibacterial activity of Colicin 20 against susceptible bacteria remains located in the enteric tract.
  • It is worth noticing that Colicin 20 solutions are stable at acid PH, thus not loosing the potency during the passage into the  stomach and being able to be fully effective at the enteric level.

Indications :

  • Colicin 20 is indicated for the prevention & treatment of gastrointestinal  infections caused by or associated with bacteria sensitive to colistin in  chickens (including laying hens), rabbits, and calves.
  • Colicin 20 is highly effective against gram negative bacteria, which includes
  • Aerobacter, E.coli, Hemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp.,   Pseudomonas, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Bordetella spp., Vibrio spp.  and Paracolon bacteria.
  • Colcin 20 is used for treatment of all digestive diseases  caused by enteric gram negative pathogenic and  toxigenic bacteria.
  • In chickens - colibacillosis, colisepticaemia, colienteritis,   enterotoxicosis, salmonellosis, pullorosis, infectious  coryza, klebseillosis, bortdetellosis, avian vibrionic  hepatitis and pseudomonas infection.
  • In calves - colienteritis, colisepticaemia, calf scour and  secondary bacterial diarrhea after viral infections.

Dosage :

  • Preventive Inclusion
  • 1 gm per 50 kg body weight for 5-7 days  (equivalent to 4 mg of colistin sulphate / kg b.w.)  Treatment Conditions
  • 1 gm per 30 kg body weight for 5-7 days  (equivalent to 6 mg of colistin sulphate / kg b.w.)  or As directed by the Consultant

Bufcid Rumen Conditioner

  • Form Powder
  • Composition Blend of natural products derived from calcareous marine algae and acid neutralizing compounds with fine particle size effective in maintaining optimum rumen pH.
  • Dosage 50 - 80gms per day per Animal or 0.5 - 1kg per 100 Kg of compounded feed or As Directed by Consulta
  • Packing 100 gms., 5 Kg & 25 Kg.

Failure to maintain a consistent  rumen pH in high yielding dairy  cows result in metabolic disorders and reduced production performance. Increasing energy supply through increased use of concentrates or rapidly  fermentable fibre can plunge the rumen into acidosis.

Rumen pH is governed by :

  • The production of VFAs from the fermentation of carbohydrates in the feed.  The loss of VFAs through the rumen wall to deliver energy to the cow.
  • The flow of buffers into the rumen through saliva.
  • Bufcid has unique honeycombed physical structure  and large surface area, breaks down slowly thus  conditions the rumen and neutralizes significantly more acid over a  longer period, than many  conventional buffers.

In the Lactating Animals :

  • Better neutralization of rumen acid
  • Slow-release and long - term rumen buffering
  • Improves fibre digestion In the Dry Animals
  • Allows increased concentrate feeding close to calving
  • Reduces the risk of metabolic disorders
  • Conditions the rumen for lactation

Natural product :

  • Acts quickly due to more surface area  Improves dry matter intake
  • Improves fiber digestion  Increases total volatile fatty acids
