Dryers

Our product range contains a wide range of Continuous Belt Dryer, Rotary Dryer, Flash Dryer and MultiLayer Mesh Belt Dryer Machine

Continuous Belt Dryer

Belt dryer is a kind of common continuous dried machine. It is widely utilized in food dehydration plant. Especially it is suitable for drying sliced or cut vegetables and fruits. The belt dryer is also used in Food Industry , Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Electronic industry and so on. Belt dryer is featured with high drying speed, strong evaporation strength, high quality and etc. For paste materials such as dehydrated filtering cake, they can also be dried after being granulated.

The belt dryer is generally a continuous convective belt dryer adopted advanced technology and premium making materials. A well-ventilated layer of product is put on a belt conveyor and conveyed continuously through drying chambers. Sufficient heating exchange, fast drying speed, high evaporation. In these chambers, circulating air fans blow hot air through the product vertically.

Operating Principle

Hot Air from Hot air generator / Thermic Fluid heater is passed through the moving poly propylene spiral mesh belt of wet sago material. The moisture is transferred from wet particles to the Hot Air. The material become progrssively dry as it traverses along the length of belt dryer. Feeding of wet material and discharging of dry material is full automatic and continues process. Air is exhausted after full utilization from the top side of dryer.

Special Features

  • Suitable for grangular, fibrous wet materials.
  • Can handle wet material with both surface and bound moisture.
  • Uniform drying/ Gentle drying
  • Low power demand
  • Continuous operation
  • Closed operation

Rotary Dryer

The rotary dryer is a type of industrial dryer employed to reduce or minimize the liquid moisture content of the material it is handling by bringing it into direct contact with a heated gas. The dryer is made up of a large, rotating cylindrical tube, usually supported by concrete columns or steel beams. The dryer slopes slightly so that the discharge end is lower than the material feed end in order to convey the material through the dryer under gravity. Material to be dried enters the dryer, and as the dryer rotates, the material is lifted up by a series of internal fins lining the inner wall of the dryer. When the material gets high enough to roll back off the fins, it falls back down to the bottom of the dryer, passing through the hot air stream as it falls. This air stream can either be moving toward the discharge end from the feed end (known as co-current flow), or toward the feed end from the discharge end (known as counter-current flow). Humid air carrying moisture, and in some cases dust, is transferred from the material being and removed in a cyclone, a cyclone / wet scrubber combination or bag filter.

Unique Features

  • Efficient drying of materials with high moisture contents.
  • Handles a wide size range of materials with extended residence times.
  • Design permits highest possible drying temperatures.
  • Drying
  • High thermal efficiency.

There are two basic configurations of Direct Fired Dryers:

  1. Co-current (also referred to as parallel flow)
  2. Counter-current (also referred to as counter flow)

Co-Current Rotary Dryer

wet material is introduced into the drum on the same end that the hot air enters the dryer. Conversely, dry material discharges on the same end of the dryer as the exhaust vapor. The co-current dryer offers two advantages:

  1. The wettest material comes in contact with the hottest air as they enter the dryer. This results in a rapid evaporation and rapid cooling of the hot process gas. This typically allows the dryer shell to operate slightly cooler than the counter-flow configuration, which extends the life cycle and decreases maintenance of the dryer.
  2. Since the dry product and vapor exit the dryer on the same end, a correlation exists between the exhaust air temperature and the condition of the dried product

Counter-Current Rotary Dryer

With the counter-current or counter flow dryer, wet material is introduced into the drum on the opposite end that the hot air enters the dryer and dry material discharges on the opposite end of the dryer as the exhaust vapor. The counter-current dryer is usually considered for processes such as:

  1. The material is going to be heated in addition to drying. In some aggregate and ore processing applications, it is desired that the material be heated. In those applications, material enters the cold end of the drum and travels towards the hot end. Since the exhaust vapor exits opposite the material, there is no relationship between the temperatures. The product temperature can be hundreds of degrees hotter than the exhaust vapor providing lower stack loss and greater thermal efficiency.
  2. Material has internal moisture. Some materials contain a high percentage of internal moisture. These materials require sufficient time for the water to migrate to the surface of the particle for evaporation.

Application

  • Starch Pulp
  • Minerals, fertilizers
  • Beet pulp
  • Floatation concentrates
  • Coal/coke
  • Clays, phosphates
  • Animal feeds
  • Germ, stillage
  • Sludges.

Flash Dryer

Flash Dryers are characterized by short residence time of few seconds. Hence, great care needs to be taken in dispersion of the feed in the drying air, which is generally in the form of cake so that true surface water gets evaporated from the feed . Otherwise, the larger particles in the feed material may require longer drying time than the smaller ones in order to reach the desired moisture content.

The principle of a flash dryer is simple. Very hot air (180C) is sucked and mixed with the Wet product inside a very long pipe (called the flash pipe) up to 15 meters high and 1 meter in diameter. The Wet product is passing through the pipe very quickly (in a "flash") and is dried to about 10% moisture.

After the flash pipe the now dried Product and remaining air are separated from each other in a very large cyclone. The remaining air which has a temperature of about 65c is sucked through the ID Fan and blown out of the very exhaust pipe.

Unique Features

  • Produces free flowing powders in agglomerated or granulated form.
  • Produces powders having a very low content of small particles (dustless).
  • Ideal for heat sensitive products as particle temperatures are kept low throughout the drying process.
  • Drying is completed at low outlet drying temperatures, giving high energy utilization efficiencies.
  • High drying efficiency and low energy costs.
  • Direct drying with no initial diluting.
  • Continuous processing with short drying time.
  • Low operator overheads and minimum maintenance costs.
  • Pressure shock-resistant chamber for safe drying of organic products.
