the varie av21 can be used.. at top of wet riser of fire fighting systems. at ends of vertical uptake line (top) of hydro- pneumatic systems. in hvac lines wherever air needs to be removed automatically without wasting chilled water into the drain. other applications wherever water (liquid) is present in a pressurized system and air needs to be removed without wasting hot / cold water. in hot water (solar) systems. salient features the varie av21 uses a low - density solid plastic float (and not hollow) thus eliminating failure of float. Other conventional air vent valves use a hollow metallic ball float which develops pin holes or leakages from the welding joint and becomes heavy (due to water that enters the float). The valve thus remains in open position permanently. simple design with minimal parts makes it virtually maintenance free. has built-in filter which prevents ingress of dirt & foreign particles, which are the main culprits for choking with malfunction. light weight. transparent chamber in av21-t shows visual indication of water level to determine if valve is malfunctioning. av21-t (transparent) comes with a protecting sun cap to avoid moss / algae formation inside due to sunlight.
Pressure Reducing Valves protect household water installations for industrial or commercial applications within the range of their specification. By installing a pressure reducing valve, pressurisation damage is avoided and water consumption is reduced. The set pressure is also maintained constant even when there is wide inlet pressure fluctuation. Reduction of the operating pressure and maintaining it at a constant level minimizes flow noise in the installation. Spring loaded pressure reducing valves operate by means of a force equalising system. The force of a diaphragm operates against the force of an adjustment spring. If the outlet pressure & therefore diaphragm force fall because water is drawn, the then greater force of the spring causes the valve to open. The outlet pressure then increases until the force between the diaphragm & the spring are equal again. The inlet pressure has no influence in either opening or closing of the valve. Because of this, inlet pressure fluctuation does not influence the outlet pressure.
