It helps in controlling pitch and stickies which clog machines and impact runnability. Special properties of talc help in improving quality and productivity of paper. Cosmetics Fine talc is used as a base for powder and rouge. Talc mattes the skin in cosmetics. It has an antibacterial effect and its pure form does not have any allergenic substance in it. Ceramics Talc has infinite use in the ceramic industry. It is used in automotive cordierite ceramics, electroceramics, floor tiles, sanitaryware, cordierite - mullite refractories, tableware. It helps in improving the mechanical and optical properties of tiles. In addition, cordierites formed by chlorite-rich talc have high thermal shock resistance.
