Breathers

Breathersare used worldwide in major industrial, mining, military, power generation, and fluid storage applications. They remove water, solid particles, and other contaminants from air being breathed into reservoirs, transformers, storage tanks, and gearboxes. The service life of equipment and fluids is greatly extended when protected by an Air Sentry Breather.
Most gearboxes, transformers, and hydraulic reservoirs have a simple breather/filling cap that allows air to be breathed in and out as fluid levels change or temperatures increase or decrease.

Standard breather caps do not stop water vapor and other harmful contaminants from entering the system.

Air Sentry Breathers replace the standard breather cap or vent tube on a tank or reservoir. They are easy to install using one of several adapters designed for different applications. When the fluid in the system is lowered, or pressure changes occur, air is drawn in through openings under the breather cap. First, air passes through a fine, 2 micron solid particle filter. The air then passes through a diffuser to ensure maximum effectiveness within the silica gel chamber.
Next, water vapor is removed as the air travels through a bed of silica gel - the highest capacity adsorbent available. After being dried, the air passes through a second 2 micron solid particle filter and enters the reservoir CLEAN AND DRY!
Air Sentry Breathers use a three-stage filtration design to ensure optimum protection by removing water vapor and solid contaminants before they enter the fluid system.
Air Sentry Breathers are patented in the United States.
Operational Features
Bi-Directional Air Flow
Air entering is cleaned and dried. Expelled air partially regenerates the silica gel and "back flushes" the particulate filter to prolong the life of the breather.
Durable Construction
Air Sentry is manufactured from rugged ABS plastic and impact-modified Acrylic.
Water Vapor Adsorbent
The Silica Gel used in Air Sentry breathers is chemically inert, non-corrosive, and conforms to all regulated toxicity standards in the U.S. and other countries. Microscopic pores allow the silica gel to adsorb up to 40% of its own weight.
Color Indicator
When maximum adsorption is reached, the silica gel turns from gold to dark green to indicate that replacement of the breather is required.
Activated Carbon
As air is expelled from the tank, it passes through activated carbon which removes oil vapors, fumes and odors.
Safety Sealed
Seals keep moisture from entering the units until they are placed in service. They are easily removed without tools or sharp instruments.

External Arrester

What is EXTERNAL LIGHTNING PROTECTION ?

The main and most effective measure for protection of structures against physical damage is considered to be the Lightning Protection System (LPS). It usually consists of both external and internal lightning protection systems.

An external LPS is intended to
Intercept a direct lightning flash to the structure (with an air-termination system)
conduct the lighting current safely towards earth (using a down-conductor system)

disperse the lightning current into the earth (using an earth-termination system)

Main protection measures against injury to living beings due to touch and step voltages are intended to

Reduce the dangerous current flowing through bodies by insulating exposed conductive parts, and/or by increasing the surface soil resistivity.

Reduce the occurrence of dangerous touch and step voltages by physical restrictions and/or warning notices
The type and location of an LPS should be carefully considered in the initial design of a new structure, thereby enabling maximum advantage to be taken of the electrically conductive parts of the structure. By doing so, design and construction of an integrated installation is made easier, the overall aesthetic aspects can be improved, and the effectiveness of the LPS can be increased at minimum cost and effort.
Access to the ground and the proper use of foundation steelwork for the purpose of forming an effective earth termination may well be impossible once construction work on a site has commenced. Therefore, soil resistivity and the nature of the earth should be considered at the earliest possible stage of a project. This information is fundamental to the design of the earth-termination system and influence the foundation design work for the structure.

Regular consultation between LPS designers and installers, architects and builders is essential in order to achieve the best result at minimum cost.

If lightning protection is to be added to an existing structure, every effort should be made to ensure that it conforms to the principles of the standard. The design of the type and location of an LPS should take into account the features of the exiting structure.

Storm Detector

The system is based on the measurement of electrostatis field. This measurement represents the electrical activities. of a storm in which there may be a risk of lightning strike.

Electrostatic Field

The electrostatic field on the earth surface has magnitude of the order of 150 V/m in good weather conditions

The formation of electric charge in storm clouds modifies the value of this field. Measuring the electrostatic field follows
To evauate the risk of atmospheric discharge.
To study the storm's behaviour (electrical charge)

To study the electrical field behaviourunder different conditions.More

Surge Protection For Ethernet

A system widely used for in-house networks is coaxial Ethernet. There are two variants of this bus system: Ethernet 10Base2 uses BNC connectors, Ethernet 10Base5 uses N connectors. For precision protection, all computer outputs (e.g. server, network cards, etc.) should be fitted with surge protectors. This provides the computer installation with perfect surge protecion.
