California Bearing Ratio Test Apparatus

The CBR method is used for finding the relative bearing ratio and expansion characteristics of soil of base, sub-base and sub-grade for the design of roads, pavements and runways. It meets the requirements of BIS-2720 Part XVI and consists of Load frame. Slump Test Apparatus

The apparatus is widely used for the determination of workability of concrete where nominal size of aggregate does not exceed 38 mm. It finds applications in various industrial tests. Slump Test Apparatus is designed with precision to offer the maximum efficiency and high performance speed. We design our Slump Test Apparatus to cater to the varied specifications of the clients.

Features
  • The apparatus comprises of a slump cone with foot pieces fitted on a base with wing bolts.
  • A swivel carrying handle fitted with the base also serves as a datum for measuring the slump, when moved into vertical position perpendicular to the base.
  • A graduated tamping rod is used both for compressing the specimen as well as measuring the slump of concrete.
  • The slump cone is filled with freshly mixed concrete and is tamped with a tamping bar in three or four layers.
Working
  • The top of the concrete is leveled off with the top of the slump cone, the cone is lifted vertically up and the slump of the sample is immediately measured.
