Recommended use: it can be used as a partial replacement of urethane modified alkyd in coloured wood varnish (like mahgony, red maroon, orange etc.) and long oil alkyd in dark coloured enamels, red oxide metal primers, black enamels, red oxide zinc chromate primer and anticorrosive paints.

Ketonic is mainly used in printing inks, ball point pen pastes and casting resins. Ketonic is of great advantage for its use in paper lacquers, its solubility in spirit, compatibility with shellac and hardness are useful factors for the preparations of polishes, polishing varnishes and lacquers for the surface treatment of wood suitably. Ketonic with nitrocellulose containing in addition phthalate plasticizers, a certain proportion of alkyd resin which are suitable for wood lacquers are distinguished for their high elasticity and resistance to the cold check test synthetic resin.
