DRY CYLINDER LINERS / SLEEVES made of grey cast-iron, manufactured by the"CENTRIFUGAL CAST PROCESS" is acknowledged to be the best method. Itpossesses the bearing metal qualities that cause skin healing after abrasion anda structure that is readily wetted by oil and retains an oil film.
Corrosion resistance is further improved by adding Chromium in the metal. Inthe centrifugal casting process, the molten metals is poured into a metal mouldor die which is revolving at a high speed.
The centrifugal force causes the metal to distribute itself evenly around the die.The resulting castings are of much finer grain structural and free from blow holesor porosity and the hardness is very good. It has enough hardness, toughnessstrength and wears resistance.
The allowance for the fitment between liner and bore holes is 0.050 to 0.075mm. these are available in Semi-Finish (SF) and Fully-Finish (FF) condition. Theavailable ranges are suitable for light, medium and heavy duty applications.
VALVE SEAT INSERTS are made from high chrome alloy and produced bycentrifugal cast process to obtain closed grain dense structure to meet theirfunctional properties.
Seats fitted on the head to protect leakage steam during operation.
CYLINDER HEADS are made from grey cast iron through casting process. There arevarious types of the heads which suitable for wet sleeve engine, non sleeve etc.
Heads are available in fully machined / ready to use fitted with valve guide andvalve seats and proof of machining.
CRANKHAFT are manufacture through forged in Alloy Steel to appropriatestrength for various applications.
Spheroid Graphite (SG) Iron is also being used for smaller Cranks (light applications).
The crankshafts are Normalized and Induction Case Hardened. This is basically the heart of the engine.
CAMSHAFTS are manufacture through forged and casting process with casehardened AND performs a critical function, and has a great impact on an enginesperformance at different speeds.
The material used at lobes (cams) must be appropriate to ensure optimumperformance.

The liners are cast-in fit, force (press) fit or slip fit. The interference between its outerdiameter and bore-hole walls depends on fit-type from 0.050 to 0.075 mm. these areavailable in Fully-Finish (FF) condition and the available in wide range suitable for mediumand heavy duty application.
