The Iodine Value Meter offered by us, is manufactured in accordance with international quality standards. As, Iodine number is a very important characteristic of oil. So, it can be used for differentiating the different grades of oil and can also be used to infer adulteration or identifying the oil, based on its iodine number. The present method of determining the iodine value using wet chemical analysis is very cumbersome and time consuming. UEPL has now come up with an electronic iodine value meter, designed and developed in collaboration with Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh. The basic measurement principle is based on the change in potential between the sensing and reference electrodes, when the electrodes are immersed in a mixture of test reagent and the sample oil. It is a low cost, battery operated, portable instrument which displays the iodine number directly on its LCD display.

Studies have shown that Cu is most harmful metal in edible oils followed by Fe, Mn, Cr and Ni. To measure these ions costly analytical instruments are being used. The oil spectrophotometer developed at UEPL, in collaboration with CSIO, is based on Lambert-instrument consists of a light source, sample holder, detector and optical filters. The Digital Gas Transmitter uses hot swappable sensors, thus using smart sensor technology. In this technology, all the information of a sensor is stored on an EPROM. Sulfuryl Fluoride, Methyl bromide and Phosphine are common fumigants that are used for controlling specific pests present in a diverse range of horticultural, agricultural crops and wood products. The entire process of fumigation (on the commodities) carried out by the Fumitrack Fumigation System inside a leak-proof enclosure. The Fumitrack Fumigation System applies the fumigant in an adequate concentration for an extended time period.
Principle Of Working With An Example : Phosphine may be applied at a concentration ranging from 400 to 2000 ppm for a period of 5 to 21 days. As a process control measure it is necessary to monitor the fumigant concentrations throughout the period of fumigation. For this application, an online fumigation gas monitor is the right choice. This can periodically monitor the fumigation gas concentration from up to 4 different locations. The gas concentration readings can be stored in the inbuilt instrument memory, which can then be transferred to a PC equipped with customized Graphic User Interface (GUI) software. After each measurement cycle the data can also be remotely communicated by GSM short text messaging to mobile phone and also uploaded to a web server.

The IR/UV Based Fire Detector easily detects fire by detecting its three critical features such as IR emission from the hot CO2, UV radiation (185 mm to 260 mm) in the area surrounding the solar bind and continuum black body generated by IR radiation emanating from fire. Having a flameproof enclosure (with two windows), the Fire Detector can be easily mounted on a wall with the help of a stand; this stand’s view can be adjusted for bringing the viewing window in the line of sight of the spot where fire outbreaks can happen.
Working : The detector gives a "fire alarm" (red led glows) when all the three chosen fire parameters are detected. Simultaneously a relay output is available. When only one of IR or UV radiation is detected yellow led glows to give a "warn alarm" and also a relay output is available. The detector also provides an analog 4-20mA output and MODBUS RS485 digital output to indicate the above events.

Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) helps in preserving the food products in an atmosphere that has been modified to increase the shelf life of the packed products. The three main gases used in modified atmosphere packaging are O2, CO2 and N2. The head space of any packaging contains any one of these gases or a mixture of these gases and the success of packaging depends on the packer's ability to correctly prepare the product and to control the concentrations of head space gas within the desired limits.
In case of N2 or CO2 flushed packaging, the Head Space Oxygen Analyzer helps to measure the quality of modified atmosphere by detecting raised levels of Oxygen. The analyzer can also be used to determine the Oxygen concentration where the modified atmosphere is oxygen enriched (50-100%).
