The laboratory is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and recognized by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), to support testing and calibration in the fields of Testing of Electrical, Electronics, Photometry, Solar Products, Cell and Batteries for Solar applications and Batteries for automobile applications.

The laboratory was inaugurated by Honorable Late Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Former president of India, and has more than decade long experience in reliability testing of various electronics, electrical and semiconductor products.
