Handmade Shellac

Handmade Shellac
We manufacture, export and supply Handmade Shellac. We make Handmade Shellac through complex procedures by mixing many chemicals in right proportion. Our Handmade Shellac is exported in many countries. For making Handmade Shellac, seedlac is poured into a big cloth bag. Then the cloth is placed in such a way that one end of it remains in front of charcoal oven while the other end attached to windlass is turned subsequently. The molten lac thus obtained is mixed with hot water. The workers employed for preparing Handmade Shellac take full care of heating the mixture so as to obtain a lac sheet of about 5x4' with thickness of around 1/16 at its corner and 1/1000 of an inch at the center. Machine Made Shellac

Machine Made Shellac

Machine Made Shellac can be produced in two ways- Heat Process and Solvent Process. Heating Process : For obtaining Shellac from heating process hydraulic presses are used to filter pure lac. Solvent Process : In this method pure lac is obtained by solving lac into industrial alcohol. The solution is filtered and pure lac thus obtained is stretched to desired thickness by the use of roller. The solvent process gives itself chance to manufacture varying types of shellac containing different percentages of shellac wax. The wax obtained from this process may be as low as 0.2 % Grades of Dewaxed Shellac
