We offer Resistive Load Banks on rent for you to test the performance of a unit or electrical system under full or partial load. Load Bank is used for alternating current power supply testing, UPS testing, Battery Bank testing, Transformer testing, generator testing, etc. The purpose of a load bank is to accurately mimic the operational or real load that a system will experience in actual application. However, unlike the real load, which is unpredictable and random in value, a load bank provides a contained and controlled load. The load banks are designed to apply a discrete, selectable resistive load to a power source. The load can be applied manually as per requirement.

During pre-commissioning of an electrical installation one may sometimes face a situation where the insulation test shows very low insulation resistance values but do not indicate any fault as such in the cable. Main reason of such faults in cables with plastic insulated outer sheath is the damage of this sheath while transportation or laying. This permits the penetration of water into the cable and as a consequence it enhances the growth of moisture and other corrosion based damages in power cables. Moisture is one of the primary reasons of such cable faults.

It is done with a state of art continuously variable High Voltage Testing Set (Hipot) capable of producing 0-120 KV DC output voltage. In High Voltage Testing Set (Hipot) a HV Volt meter and a mA analogue meter is provided to note the reading for high voltage applied & leakage current. Voltage & current level can be set by potentiometer. Timer is also fitted to select the time duration of DC test.
