By means of watering cotton, terylene, hemp and its blends in order to shrink the fabric to meet the requirements of shrinkage, stabilization and improve the hand touch.
Compressive shrinking is normally the last process in the sequence of fabric finishing. The woven fabric processed in the machine is fully shrunk. Before the compressive shrinking, it is advisable to establish the width at which the fabric should be shrunk in length to meet with the requirement of the garment makers.
The sole purpose of controlled compressive shrinking process is to ensure that the garment made from such fabric does not shrink after the wash hence perfect dimensional stability. As per standard, +/- 1% residual shrinkage is acceptable.

The machine is suitable for woven fabrics made of cotton , cotton/ viscose, cotton/ polyester or linen and knit fabric can wash crease free.
As Viscose has very poor wet strength, it is washed in rope form. Knit Fabrics tend to elongate in open width form and requires many holding gadgets so it is also washed in rope form to avoid curling and elongation.
The raneg has Two nos. Open Width Compartments/ Triple Drum Compartment/ Super Washer for the purpose of wetting and swelling of dyes and gum paste. Then the fabric is accumulated in 'J'-Scray prior to entering in to winch washing compartments. The oval type S.S. winch helps in thrashing the fabric in to the S.S. wash tank to remove the gum and excessive colour. There is a provision of heating the water with steam for faster removal of excessive materials.
Long dwell times, controlled temperatures and liquor flow to suit individual requirement add up to high washing efficiency.
The fabric content in each tank depends on the width of the tank, which is approximately 110 Kgs. upto 200 Kg.s of Fabric.
After continuous washing in each wash tank, the washed fabric is opened uot from rope form by rope opening device and further proceeds to cylinder dryer for drying.

Desizing is the process of removing the size applied during weaving.
The Purpose of desizing is to remove sizing ingredients such as starches, gums, PVA, etc. The Starch has to be degraded in to smalled water soluble molecules by the process of hydrolysis. The Hydrolysis of starch using enzymes under particular concentration, temperature and duration is called Desizing.
Desizing can be done at room temeprature to boiling temperature depending on the quality of enzyme.
Desizing Tank is made from Stainless Steel material. The tank can have open or fully Enclosed Structure as per requirement. The number of rolleres in the tank facilitate suitable liquor take up of every kind of fabric which is to be disized. The machine speed can be lowered or raised for proper take up of the liquor for different grade of fabric.
Size reducing floatte is added manually or automatically by the holp of Dosing from the Feeding Tank. Desired tension is provided between entry and exirt of Fabric. In this manner more suitable floatte is absorbed in the fabrics.
By the help of drive, machine speed could be achieved at desired level. Both Rubber and Ebonite rollers of the squeeze mangle is 300 mm Diameter, and carrier rollers are of 125 mm Diameter.
At the exit side, contact type batcher with individual drives is provided.

SJ 1000 Saves Chemicals:
Besides comparatively low liquor ratio, SJ 1000 has a pneumatic squeezing system, the temperature of the fabric is maintained at about 76 Degrees Celcius for a much longer period than in a normal Jumbo Jigger. This reduces times and saves chemical.
SJ 1000 Saves Labour:
SJ 1000 need one operator whereas 10 normal jiggers giving equivalent production needs 5 operators. If there are three shifts, saving would be equivalent to 15-3= 12 Operators / Day.

Mercerisation is one of the most important processes of finishing cotton materials.
The process consists of the treatment of cellulosic materials with concentrated solutions of caustic soda. Concentrated solution of caustic soda cause cinsiderable swelling of cotton fiber and allows soda to impregnate in the cross section of the warp & weft yarns.
The impregnated yarn with caustic soda reflects light, hence it becomes brighter. Also, it increases its hygroscopicity, strength and improves dye affinity.
The caustic soda concentration varies from 20% to 30%.

Rubber Belt Shrinking Unit for giving mechanical shrinkage to the fabric. Stainless Steel Plate fabricated main roller and Stainless Steel cladded planket guiding and squeezing rollers for longer service life. Pneumatic squeezing device doesnot allow the water to carry over on the blanket surface. Blanket cooling arrangement on both inside and outside surface of blanket and one more in the inner side after the squeezing for lubricaton eliminates the possibilities of frequent cuts on both sides.
