For any Production/process facility, when a large volume of fluid to be heated before pumping out to process application, the Immersion Heaters are always the best-recommended solutions. A single bundle or multiple smaller units can be installed in the Tank for the uniform heat transfer and steady heating of the fluid with all safety precautions in built within the heater and control system.

ConstructionTerminal Enclosure: Marathon flameproof heaters are certified to install in hazardous area Zone 1 & 2 , Gas group IIC, IP66. The Terminal enclosure is designed to protect the terminals of the individual elements from external impacts, such as dust, moisture etc and to facilitate the connection of the Incoming power supply to the heater bundle.
Heater Bundle: Consist of No. of U Pin heating elements adequately supported by set of Baffles & Tie rods, designed to deliver the specified temperature at outlet by maintaining the element temperature & pressure drop within the safe limits. Heating elements can be fixed to heater flange by means of standoff sleeve pipes with brazing or by direct welding or by means of threaded couplings. Heat duty of a bundle can be divided in to many sub groups (banks) based on process conditions. This will help in better control as flexibility in the operation.
Temperature Sensors: The Heater bundle will have Element skin temperature sensor for monitoring and regulating the Element skin temperature within the limits. The Unit may also need additional sensors such as Tube sheet Temperature Sensor, Terminal Box Sensor, vessel Body temperature sensor and process fluid Temperature sensors based on case to case. The Sensors used for the system will be certified in accordance with the area of installation. The Temperature sensors are Typically RTD or Thermocouple. A simple heater bundle can also be controlled using Thermostat protection for skin & process temperature. If the Operation pressure is High, It is recommended to have a PSV (Pressure safety Valve) installed within the Heater Vessel as an additional safety measure.
Control Panel: Heater controls Panel are designed to monitor & control the operations of the heater bundle also to ensure the safety of the equipment and operations. The control logic can be either ON/OFF (contactor) or regulated (Thyristor) or combination of both in a single panel. The control panels can be installed in both safe area & hazardous area by following respective design guidelines & certification requirements. The Control Panels are provided with various indication systems such as Power ON, Heater ON OFF, Trip, High Temperature etc for comfortable handling of the process. The Temperatures of Elements, Process fluid & other areas (with sensors) are displayed on the Panel for better monitoring & awareness. Control Panel will also have safety interlocks such as high element temperature, Earth fault, process over temperature etc along with Emergency stop access for the safe operation and control.

Tempsens offer Air Heaters which features high-temperature resistance wire open coil which is electrically isolated in a stainless steel sheath. Because the air being heated passes directly over the resistance wire, maximum heat transfer efficiency is achieved.
Air Heaters are used for heat staking, plastic welding, laminating, drying, heat sealing, and any other operation where air needs to be heated up 500C.

Coil heaters offer high heating profile and high performance in compact spaces up to temperatures as high as 750°C. Available in Various cross-sections and sizes, coil heaters are not only straight and coil form but can be formed into almost in any geometrical shape.
Coil heaters can be closely wound to provide concentrated heat or can be stretched to fulfil distributed wattage needs. Coil heaters can also accommodate integrated thermocouples for precise temperature control and quick response. Bundle Rod Heater consists of circular ceramic beads that hold the heating elements. They are designed for long life and maintenance-free operation. SSPRT provides an affordable alternative for precision temperature measurement and calibration in labs & fields. Metal Sheathed Semi Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer is widely used as a reference to calibrate various temperature probes, particularly in secondary calibration laboratories. SSPRT is constructed with a 6 mm outer diameter metal sheath of high durability. Inside the sheath, the sensing element is protected to shield the sensor from contamination by free-floating metal ions found within the metal environment at high temperatures. The electrical configuration is a four-wire current potential hookup to eliminate the effect of lead wire resistance. A special powder mixture is filled into the sensor capsule to support the element wire to protect the element from mechanical shocks. Fuel Gas Heater Skids are sub-assembly of a complete fuel gas conditioning system or fuel gas filtration package skids. The heating systems are used to preheat the fuel gas to the desired temperature at a specified pressure and flow rate, prior to feeding to the actual process or further circulations.
The specially designed Fuel gas heating skids helps to monitor, regulate the gas flow with multiple safety features for the trouble-free and risk-free operation. The system is designed considering the incoming gas properties along environmental conditions to achieve the desired outlet flow conditions.
The skids are generally used for preheating the gas above its dew point, prior to feeding into the other equipment such as Gas operated turbines, generators or other process applications. The system can also be used for superheating the gas for other industrial applications.

The calibrator controller uses a precision RTD as a controlling sensor and controls the well temperature with thermoelectric cooler. To obtain and maintain a required temperature the controller varies the power to the heater via solid-state relay. There is one electricity driven fan which is situated under the heating chamber for cooling the heater. The dry block calibrator was designed for portability, moderate cost and ease of operation.
This dry block furnace is based on thermo electric cooling circuitry. This model provides an special design isothermal enclosure (Aluminium block) in which the thermocouple/RTD can be calibrated against the temperature of the calibrator.

The PH Hopper Heating Module is a rugged design, the high-performance heating surface of the hopper. The Marathon hopper heater are self-contained heaters whose designed provide heat outputs up to 3 watt/squire inch, with a maximum circuit size of 4500watts depending on the application, the design of the hopper heater is such that it distributes heat over its entire surface. The PH module is according to customer requirements of surface heating area and application. The heater is offered in multiple designs, each one includes a heater element made of Inconel/Nichrome/SS. The heater element which provides multiple flow paths for electrical current to pass. This design eliminates the burnout chances common with series wire-based design.

Hopper Heating Modules for Power PlantsConveying coal/oil (other material) from stockpiles to boiler during winter months is a well-documented nightmare for plant operators. Identical conveying problems exist within the mining industry as coal is moved around the mine site. Coal stored outdoors on the stockpile or delivered by unit train or barges picks up moisture from rain and snow. When this wet or frozen coal is conveyed, it inevitably comes into contact with the plate steel of the various hoppers and chutes within the coal handling system. During winter, this plate steel is below freezing for extended periods. When wet or frozen coal encounters steel at sub-freezing temperatures an instantaneous bond is formed. This bond causes immediate and often catastrophic blockage of the hopper and chutes. The bond and resultant blockage are so severe that often pneumatic drilling equipment and explosives are required to free up the system. This problem, known as Flash Freezing, is extremely inconvenient and very costly. Several cases are documented where utility and industrial boilers have been shut down due to blocked conveying systems.

FastCAL 3000 is a high-temperature blackbody source with a capacity to produce high temperature using high emissivity emitter(graphite tube) and at the same time stabilize at the required temperature within a few minutes.
It is mainly used to calibrate non-contact temperature sensors. Step change in temperature is achievable within seconds. The graphite tube has an emitter diameter of 25mm (1.00") and emissivity of +0.995 ±0.005. Target temperature is sensed by a noncontact temperature sensor/Pyrometer which gives feedback to PID controller to regulate the cavity temperature precisely to the desired set points. Remote set point is achieved via RS-232 C communication port.
