Fuel Oil
Fuel oil is a fraction obtained from petroleum distillation, either as a distillate or a residue. Fuel oil is a petroleum liquid product which is used in generation of heat or used in an engine for generation of power. Diesel is a type of fuel oil. Fuel Oil is made of alkanes, cycloalkanes and it is required for heating at homes, business, vehicles and in petro chemical industries. 
 
There are different types of fuel oil such as gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel etc. Russia is the leading producer of fuel oil with 544MMt (14.05%) at the current stage, followed by Saudi Arabia 520MMt (13%) and United States 387MMt (9%) in the second and third position respectively.

Bitumen
Bitumen is a sticky black and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum found in natural deposits or may be a refined product. There are types of bitumen which is considered as fine quality bitumen 60/70 and bitumen 85/100. Bitumen VG-30 is a fine quality product used in spraying application such as paving and surface dressing in very cold climate. Road construction accounts for around 70 % of usage of bitumen. It is mainly used in bituminous waterproofing system where in production of roofing felt and for sealing flat roofs.

Bitumen VG-30
There are four grades of bitumen, VG-30 is one of them. VG is known for ‘viscosity grade.’ This term is used to denote the quality and specific purpose of that particular type of bitumen. Bitumen VG-30 is mostly used in construction of paving roads to bear the heavy traffic. It can also be used in place of bitumen 60/70 penetration grade.
