IR Proximity Sensor

This is a multipurpose infrared sensor which can be used for obstacle sensing, line sensing, etc. and also as an encoder sensor.

This is a multipurpose infrared sensor which can be used for obstacle sensing, line sensing, etc. and also as an encoder sensor. The sensor provides a digital output. The sensor outputs a logic one (+3.5V) at the digital output when an object is placed in front of the sensor and logic zero (0V), when there is no object in front of the sensor. An onboard LED is used to indicate the presence of an object. This IR PROXIMITY/ OBSTACLE SENSOR is designed to work with almost all ARDUINO boards and Microcontrollers - AVR, PIC, 8051, ARM etc. Operating Voltage: 5V Adjustable Range using preset (potentiometer on board) Since the sensor module works on INFRARED, for obstacles with reflective surfaces (white colored), the maximum range will be higher and for non-reflective surfaces (black colored), and the maximum range will be lower. This can in turn be used for detecting white/black lines (in line follower ROBOTs) or bright/dark objects (in object identification ROBOTs) Useful for various Robotic Applications, Room Visitor Counter Systems, etc.

Pir Motion Sensor

A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. They are most often used in PIR-based motion detectors.

PIR sensor detects the infrared light radiated by a warm object. It consists of pyro electric sensors which introduce changes in their temperature (due to incident infrared radiation) into electric signal. When infrared light strikes a crystal, it generates an electrical charge. It will detect the motion via positive and negative differential changes in the both halves of the output. It wont detect decaying light changes(slow moving light waves). There is no need of calibration for daylight.Most PIR sensors have a 3-pin connection at the side or bottom. One pin will be ground, another will be signal and the last pin will be power. Power is usually up to 5V.

Humidity And Temperature Sensor

DHT22 Sensor (Humidity and Temperature)

The DHT22 is a basic, low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air, and spits out a digital signal on the data pin. Simply connect the first pin on the left to 3-5V power, the second pin to your data input pin and the right most pin to ground. Compared to the DHT11, this sensor is more precise, more accurate and works in a bigger range of temperature/humidity, but its larger and more expensive.
