Peanuts grow in a very fascinating manner. They actually start out as an above ground flower that, due to its heavy weight, bends towards the ground. Garlic is arranged in a head, called a "bulb, " which averages about 2 inches in height and diameter and consists of numerous small separate cloves. Both the cloves and the entire bulb are encased in paper-like sheathes that can be white, off-white, or have a pink/purple hue. Although garlic cloves have a firm texture, they can be easily cut or crushed. The taste of garlic is like no other it hits the palate with a hot pungency that is shadowed by a very subtle background sweetness. While elephant garlic has larger cloves, it is more closely related to the leek and therefore does not offer the full health benefits of regular garlic.

Yellow maize grains which are yellow and/or light red in colour are considered to be yellow maize. Maize grains which are yellow and dark red in colour, provided the dark red colour covers less than 50% of the surface of the grain, are also considered to be yellow maize. White or yellow maize is a cereal distributed in many food supply operations, in grain, grits or flour.Whether maize should be white or yellow has to be determined considering beneficiaries food habits. Maize can also be red (not found in our operations). Milling should be processed only when distribution date is known, to avoid long storage of milled products. Shelflife of milled products is short because the fat content becomes rancid and acidic, and a milled product is very sensitive to micro-biological contamination. Maize meal can be stored a few weeks or months only, depending on the climatic and storage conditions, check before milling. Extraction rate when milling the grain can vary considerably. 75% is a first grade quality flour, 92% is cruder and will turn rancid or acidic very quickly but from better on a nutritional aspect. When fast use (few weeks after milling) cannot be guaranteed, extraction of 75% is highly Maize can be stored for a long period of time as whole grains, provided the storage is properly conducted (control, fumigation) Storage location must be dry and well ventilated.

Broken kernels are chick peas pieces which occur by splitting of chick peas kernels into 2 or more pieces and which stays on a 5 mm round hole sieve after sieving. Foreign matters are all kind of material present in or between the chick peas kernels which are different from chick peas and visible by naked eye. Foreign matters include other classes of chick peas, other grains and seeds, ergot, mineral matter, stones and earth pellets, excreta and other matter than chick peas which remain on the sieve. Other type kernels include kernels with types which are not specified on the packing.

Size B (large) grains are kernels passing from round hole sieve with 9mm core diameter but staying on round hole sieve with core diameter 8mm (29-30 calibre).
