This machine is used to test the fatigue strength of materials and to draw S-N diagram by research institute, laboratories, material manufacturers and various industries. This is rotating beam type machine in which load is applied in reversed bending fashion. The standard 8 mm dia specimen is held in special holders at its ends and located such that it experiences a uniform bending moment. The specimen is rotated at 4200 rpm by a motor. A complete cycle of reversed stresses in all fibres of the specimen is produced during each revolution. The bending moment is applied with the lever system and can be easily changed by moving a weight over the lever. Total number of revolution at which the specimen fails are recorded by a mechanical counter. An interlocking system puts off the motor at specimen failure. Machine meets requirement of IS 5075-1969.

We are manufacturing as well as supplying Impact Testing Machine in India. Our Impact Testing Machine is designed for conducting Izod & Charpy test. The test method conforms to BS: 131: part 4 1972 (Amended 15 Aug – 1993) & BSEN: 10045 – 2: 1993.

Details :

  • Constriction and functions of Impact Testing Machine - The Pendulum is mounted on antifriction bearings. It has two starting positions, the upper one for Charpy and the lower one for Izod testing. On release, the pendulum swing down to break the specimen and the energy absorbed in doing so is measured as the difference between the height of drop before rupture & height of raise after rupture of the test specimen and is read form the maximum pointer on the dial scale.
  • Controls of Pendulum - The Pendulum supported in the starting position is by a self resetting latch. The release mechanism is operated by lever. The pendulum release latch is operated only when this lever is operated.
  • Strikers & Supports - There are two strikers & one combined support available for fitting into the pendulum & on to the base of the machine for Izod, Charpy test. Changing from one striker to another is achieved simply by fixing the new striker into its position.
  • Charpy Test - The charpy test piece rests on alloy steel supports anvils. Fitted on the base of the machine rigidly held in position by allen screws. End stopper is provided for quickly & accurately loading the test piece centrally between the supports.
  • Izod Test - The Izod test piece is clamped vertically in Izod support anvils, fitted on the base of the machine. The support is provided with a machined vertical groove to suite the test piece size. The front clamp piece & allen screw enable clamping of the test piece in correct height with the help of Izod setting gauge supplied.

MTMS Make Analog Cum Computerised Universal Testing Machine is designed for testing metals and other materials under tension, compression bending, transverse and shear loads. Hardness test on metals can also be conducted.

Principal of Operation : Operation of the machines is by hydraulic transmission of load from the test specimen to a separately housed load indicator. The hydraulic system is ideal since it replaces transmission of load through levers and knife edges, which are prone to wear and damage due to shock on rupture of test pieces. Load is applied by a hydrostatically lubricated ram. Main cylinder pressure is transmitted to the cylinder of the pendulum dynamometer system housed in the control panel. The cylinder of the dynamometer is also of self-lubricating design. The load transmitted to the cylinder of the dynamometer is transferred through a lever system to a pendulum. Displacement of the pendulum actuates the rack and pinion mechanism which operates the load indicator pointer and the autographic recorder. The deflection of the pendulum represent the absolute load applied on the test specimen. Return movement of the pendulum is effectively damped to absorb energy in the event of sudden breakage of a specimen.

MTMS Make Universal Testing Machine is designed for testing metals and other materials under tension, compression bending, transverse and shear loads. Hardness test on metals can also be conducted.

Principal of Operation : Operation of the machines is by hydraulic transmission of load from the test specimen to a separately housed load indicator. The hydraulic system is ideal since it replaces transmission of load through levers and knife edges, which are prone to wear and damage due to shock on rupture of test pieces. Load is applied by a hydrostatically lubricated ram. Main cylinder pressure is transmitted to the cylinder of the pendulum dynamometer system housed in the control panel. The cylinder of the dynamometer is also of self-lubricating design. The load transmitted to the cylinder of the dynamometer is transferred through a lever system to a pendulum. Displacement of the pendulum actuates the rack and pinion mechanism which operates the load indicator pointer and the autographic recorder. The deflection of the pendulum represent the absolute load applied on the test specimen. Return movement of the pendulum is effectively damped to absorb energy in the event of sudden breakage of a specimen.

Principal :

  • MTMS -RASNE series machines are suitable for Rockwell, Rockwell superficial & Rockwell cum Brinell tests. These are motorized digital Hardness testers having LCD display for easy hardness measurement. The results are displayed in 0.1 Rockwell unit for more accurate measurement.


Operation :

  • Various parameters of test can be set on front panel by operation of key board and observing LCD display Viz high/low limits, dwell time, auto/manual start, printer selection, scale selection etc. All set data can be verified edited by pressing SCL key one after another.
  • Machine operation is very simple. The normal mode is a bar followed by "SET" indication. Raise elevating screw slowly through bar indication till "SET" position which will show "PRESS START" indication. Now press "START" button. Loading/unloading cycle will be completed and hardness is shown on LCD display with High/Good/Low indication. Lower down elevating screw. Panel will show normal mode for next test. Also when required 'AUTO START' on front panel by operation of key board & observing LCD Display then raise elevating screw slowly through bar indication till "SET" position then it will starts loading/unloading cycle automatically & hardness is shown on LCD Display with High/Good/Low indication.

MTMS make TNE series machines are electronic screw driven machines with precision screw and column construction and variable speed drive. These are high precision, high performance universal testing machines, maximum capacity up to 100 kN. With the help to computer and micro-computer, all the operations from control of load to processing of data are carried out with excellent performance, reliability, flexibility and easy operation. The machines are suitable for studying mechanical behavior of various materials like iron and metals, rubbers, plastics, ceramics, fabrics, composites, cables and wires. As a matter of fact, it is an indispensable instrument for the modern industries. Two options are available mainly acme threaded screw with DC motor drive and ball lead screw with servo drive. The machines confirm to IS, BS & ASTM standards.

TNE Series : Depending upon test requirements and budget, TNE series machines are available with following options.

DRIVE - DD : DC motor with thyrister drive to give speed ratio of 1:10 as standard and 1:100 as optional.

DRIVE - SD : Servo motor & PWM drive to give speed ratio of 1:1000.

Economical Models : These machines are with a rigid, stable structure with high stiffness, two columns and a single screw. Machine uses three phase induction motor with fixed speed as standard. A variable speed drive is available as option.

Load Cells : Universal load cells of following capacities are available. - 50N, 100N, 250N, 500N. 1kN, 2.5kN, 5kN, 10kN, 25kN, 50kN, 100kN. Any other load cell as per requirement.

Grips and Clamping Device :

  • Wedge type grips for flat / round specimen.
  • Compression plate.
