Direct application of Zinc Chromate Metal Primer also shows satisfactory performance for less critical applications. This primer is also suitable for use in marine condition over steel.

Surfa Acrylic Primer - Exterior is an acrylic based product suitable for exterior use. This is a water based thinnable primer and pigmented white to give reasonable opacity. Its sets fast and does not require curing.

Directions for use

• Surface preparation : Remove dust, dirt, grease and loose flaky paint, fungus/ algae by thorough wire brushing and cleaning with water and allow drying
• Exterior rough surfaces previously coated with cement paint should be wire brushed and washed with water thoroughly and allowed to dry.
• Newly plastered surfaces are to be fully cured and dried.
• Apply single coat liberally using brush and allow drying for 4-6 hours.
• Apply recommended number of overcoats of smooth emulsion or textured paint.

• Ensure that surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and rendered free from dust, dirt, grease, etc.
• New woodwork: Sand the surface and dust off.
• Previously painted wood work: Remove flaking and blistering paint. Sand the surface and dust off.

• Clean the surface thoroughly and make it free from dust, dirt, flakes, grease and other loose particles.
• Surface should be dry cut with emery paper and cleaned before finishing coats are applied.
• Apply 1 or 2 coats, as required. Allow at least 6 hrs in between coats.
