It has been a general practice of providing some short of protection to electric motors, the most common being from MS or GI sheets. Due to prevailing corrosion, MS/GI guards needs periodical painting but again it has limited life. MS/GI guards are heavy too, compared to plastic guards. Unaffected by most acids, alkalis and most commonly used chemicals such as ammonia, petrol, hydrogen, potassium chlorate, phosphorous, soap, sodium, sulphate etc.
Linear Expansion
