Sun Pharma was established with five Psychiatry products and a two person marketing
team. A compact manufacturing facility for tablets and capsules was set up at vapi, Gujarat.
Sales were rolled out Nationwide.
The first cardiology products were launched. Monotrate and Angizem are
still sold today.
Exports to Nighbouring countries began and products in gastroenterology were introduced.

The First API Manufacturing plant was built in Panoli, Gujarat.
An API plant at Ahmednagar was acquited from Knoll Pharma. Company sels spread to 24 Countries.
