India Mark IIhand pumps are widely accepted internationally and are one of the most reliable and sturdy pumps originating from a developing country. The hand pump consists of the aboveground mechanism comprising of Pump Head, Handle, Water Tank and Stand assemblies and the belowground mechanism comprising of Riser Pipes, Connecting Rods and Cylinder assembly. The entire above ground components are fabricated out of steel sections, hence they are strong and sturdy.
Under the Hand pump project of the UNDP/World Bank, extensive trials wereconducted of twelve different Deep well Hand pumps from all over the world, including France, Holland, Canada, Sweden, U.K., U.S.A. and India.

From these tests the India Mark II emerged as the best hand pump amongst all.

Afridev Hand Pump

Afridev deep well hand pump(VLOM) is suitable for lifting water from depths of 10 meters. to 45 meters. Afridev hand pump is suitable for boreholes with casing sizes of 100 mm, 115mm, 127mm, 150mm or 200mm internal diameter

Note:If the Afridev pump is to be used in dug wells, suitable provision must be made for location of the rising mains and modifying the suction pipe if necessary.A brief description of the major pump subassemblies and components are as given below.Pump head, handle front, handle rear, rod hanger, rod hanger pin, fulcrum pin, bearing bushes inner & outer with cover. We offer horizontal single stage centrifugal pumps (with back pull out), Capable of handling clean & slightly contaminated water for irrigation purpose. The complete pump, barring the volute casing can be withdrawn towards the motor end without disturbing the suction or delivery pipeline, because of top centre line discharge with end suction, self venting casing arranged for 'back pullout'. This ensures maximum resistance to misalignment and distortion from pipe loads. The pump consumes less power due to better hydraulics and higher efficiencies.
