Anti Scale Compound

Our ESPON HF Anti Scale Compound is used for coating hot forged, hot rolled or cast components before charging them into furnace for heat treatment. ESPON HF anti-scale compound is found effective in all types of heat treatment operations like full annealing, normalizing, hardening and tempering. Brushing, dipping or spraying method may be used for coating. Sufficient time is to be provided for drying of ESPON HF anti scale compound before charging coated material into furnace. Benefits of using ESPON HF anti scale compound : preventing of scaling and decarburization during heat treatment of components. A fortune in capital investments can be saved as existing furnace can be used for scale free heat treatment. This is otherwise possible only by use of highly capital intensive controlled atmosphere furnace. After heat treatment, unproductive process of shot blasting, machining, grinding can be either substantially reduced or eliminated. Rejection of components due to pit marks formed by scaling during heat treatment is avoided. Quench cracks on components after heat treatment are prevented. Anti Carb Paste

The Anti Carb Paste, we offer, is a white paste free from the visible extraneous matter. The Anti Carb Paste, offered by us, eliminates the need of copper plating or provision of excess material in the areas where carburizing. Our Anti Carb Paste also eradicates non-productive operations such as removal of copper plating or machining of excess material after carburizing. Details :

Method of Application :
  • ESPON-AC is ready-to-be used. After opening the container, stir the contents well with a clean wooden plank so that the bottom paste is completely mixed with the liquid.
  • Ensure that the surface to be coated is free from grease or oil.
  • Swab the surface to be coated by taking small quantity of paste on a piece of cloth. Remove the coating completely.
  • Bake the coated components at 100C for 2 hours and the charge them into the gas carburizing furnace.
  • After heat treatment, the coating gets removed during shot blasting or machining.

Our ESPON - RCP (Refractory Coating Compound) is used for coating refractory lining of re-heating furnaces, heat treatment furnaces and sealed quench furnaces. Sufficient time is to be provided for drying of ESPON - RCP refractory coating before firing the furnace for first time after coating.
