The Sealfast Low-Pressure (LP)inflatable pipe plugs, featuring the double acting seal ring, are available in sizes ranging from 1/2 inch to 144 inches. These easy to install pipe plugs have been used for isolation of piping systems during testing, repair and maintenance, for bypassing of damaged lines, and for isolation of piping systems during construction. The L.P pipe plugs have received wide acceptance in many industrial applications including nuclear and hydro plants, chemical and petrochemical plants, water treatment plants and water and sewer lines.

The Sealfast Medium-Pressure (MP) pipe plugs, featuring the double ring seal and locking lugs, are available in sizes ranging from 1/2 inches to 144 inches and can withstand pipe pressures up to 100 psig. Applications have included testing, repair and maintenance of piping systems, including the bypass of damaged line sections for continued service.

The SealfastHigh-Pressure (HP) mechanical plugs are available in sizes inches to 144 inches with a maximum pressure rating of 5000 psig. Test ports allow testing of pipe or tubing through the pipe plug.

Sealfast Mechanical Pipe Plugs feature the same lightweight aluminum construction as the LP and MP series of Inflatable Pipe Plugs. These mechanical pipe plugs are mechanically actuated by tightening a series of rim nuts around the periphery of the pipe plug. This squeezes the rubber seal into the I.D. of the pipe.

M.P. series medium pressure pipe test plugs perform at the (specified) pressures common in the water supply industry, water treatment, and industrial markets (up to 100 pisg depending on pipe diameter). These medium pressure pipe test plugs offer a cost effective means of conducting tests, or isolating line sections at any interval or stage of construction. This feature is extremely useful where long runs between valves can occur, and where the ability to pull an immediate test after negotiating difficult angles, wall cavities, (elbows), or terrain, can be very reassuring.

The high pressure pipe test plugs series of pipe plugs available from Mechanical Research & Design are available for applications that exceed 100psig. Our custom sizes include 1/2 to 60. Sealing can be done either internally or externally. Please provide the pipe I.D., type and pressure requirements.
