Mr. M. Appuswamy, a seasoned veteran in cotton with long and varied experience and right but rare insight into cotton growing and cotton ginning is travelled extensively both at home and abroad. He has studiously and carefully designed and developed the apt cotton ginning practices that fit the bill under Indian conditions so as to contribute to quality and productivity of the mill. In particular, he is for hand grading of cotton to make it free of contamination. While the most sophisticated modern machine cannot clear the contamination completely, naked eyes and bare hands can very well do it.
