Features for the SAILOR RT5022 Replay function Large displays for easy overview Red light, dimming and sleep mode function for improved night vision Marine AR filter for reduced sun reflection User friendly interface with large tactile buttons and ergonomically designed handset Powerful built-in loudspeaker Alarm mute button Powerful and durable transceiver Built-in DCS Class A The SAILOR RT5022 comes with a new replay feature that allows the operator to repeat an incoming message in case the operator did not understand the message in the first instance. In situations where safety may be at stake, the replay function can be very helpful. In day-to-day operations, the user requires that the VHF radio is easy to operate. The DSC functions and functions that are not used on a daily basis have been separated and are shown in a graphical LCD display. This helps the user to stay in control, also in hasty situations when the control of the communication is essential. All text in the display is in red to reduce the disturbance to the night vision on the bridge. The SAILOR RT5022 also introduces a sleep mode function that further reduces light on the bridge and thereby improves the night vision. The sleep mode function blacks out the graphical display when not activated. It is easily activated again by simply pressing on a button. To reduce the reflection from external light (e.g. sunlight) in the displays, a special marine AR (Anti-Reflection) filter has been

Jrc Jhs 182 Marine Equipment

The JHS-182 AIS is a ship borne system capable of regularly broadcasting own ship's unique information and continually receiving and displaying information broadcast from other vessels. All vessels and VTS operators within VHF range and equipped with an AIS transponder can continually receive and display information from other vessels. The AIS can "see around corners", allowing avoidance of dangers before visual contact has been established. All ship's information including static and voyage related data such as the ship's name and cargoes, as well as its dynamic navigational information, i.e., position, course, and speed can be transmitted and received. In accordance with IMO carriage requirements and SOLAS (Chapter V, Regulation 19), passenger ships, vessels over 300GT on international voyages and all vessels over 500GT are mandated to carry AIS. Existing vessels will be required to carry AIS on a schedule that phases the retrofits between July 1, 2003 and July 1, 2008. All vessels built on or after July 1, 2002 are required to carry AIS (Automatic Identification System).
