Applications:
Sodium diacetate is a free flowing, convenient, readily available source of acetic acid and sodium acetate in granular form. It is a molecular compound of acetic acid and sodium acetate. The manufacturing process is based on the ability to place free acetic acid into the crystal lattice of neutral sodium acetate. The acid is firmly held as it is evident from the negligible odour of the product. Sodium diacetate is a dust free, slightly hygroscopic, yet free flowing crystalline material. Under normal atmospheric conditions it neither forms lumps nor releases acetic acid even during longer storage periods. On prolonged exposure to an atmosphere with low relative humidity, sodium diacetate tends to lose acetic acid and reverts to anhydrous sodium acetate.
In solution, it is split off into its components acetic acid and sodium acetate.
Applications
Bakery Products
Sodium diacetate inhibits growth of certain types of mould and many deleterious micro-organisms in dough and bread, notably Bacillus Mesentericus. At the same time its mild acid properties develop a pastry aroma without introducing too acid or shallow a flavour character note.
Meat Products
Sodium diacetate can delay growth of spoilage micro-organisms in Hot Dogs, lunch meats and poultry. Even small quantities of sodium diacetate can significantly prolong shelf life of meat products.
Snack Foods
Vinegar taste on potato chips or tacos can be achieved by adding 0.1% sodium diacetate. Spread on the hot surface of the snacks immediately after production, sodium diacetate melts and provides the products with the savoury taste of vinegar.
We are engaged in manufacturing Sodium Oxalate. This is a white, crystalline, odourless powder that is toxic to humans. The oxalate also cause burning pain in the mouth, throat and stomach, bloody vomiting, headache, muscle cramps, cramps and convulsions, drop in blood pressure, heart failure, shock, coma, and possible death. The mean lethal dose by ingestion of oxalates is 10-15 grams as prescribed after the experiments.
Sodium Oxalate is a derivative of Oxalic Acid. Sodium Oxalate is freely soluble in water. Sodium Oxalate is a White crystalline powder. Sodium Oxalate decomposes at 250-275oC. It should be stored in tightly closed containers in a Room Temperature.
Uses / Application of Sodium Oxalate
Sodium Oxalate is used in Metal Treatment Industry & as a Laboratory Reagent.
Sodium Acetate Anhydrous is used in the textile industry to neutralize sulfuric acid waste streams, and as a photoresist while using aniline dyes. It is also a pickling agent in chrome tanning, and it helps to retard vulcanization of chloroprene in synthetic rubber production.
Traditional Preservatives of this buffering agent include the leather tanning and dye industries. It is used in TANNING to effect a more even and rapid penetration of the tan. In the TEXTILE industry, it is considered a dye and color intermediate, with specific use as a mordant in the dyeing process. Because of its ability to remove insoluble calcium salts, sodium acetate is further used by the textile industry to improve the wearing quality of finished fabrics.
As the conjugate base of a weak acid, a solution of sodium acetate and acetic acid can act as a BUFFER SOLUTION to keep a relatively constant pH. This is useful especially in biochemical applications where reactions are pH dependent.
Sodium acetate, also called sodium ethanoate, is the sodium salt of acetic acid. Its used in acetic acid/acetate buffer solutions and is a component of a few specialized test reagents. Caution! Contact causes irritation to skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.
Sodium Acetate Anhydrous may be added to foods as food additives. It is also used in consumer HEATING PADS or hand warmers and is also used in hot ice. Sodium acetate trihydrate crystals melt at 58 °C, dissolving in their water of crystallization. When they are heated to around 100 °C, and subsequently allowed to cool, the aqueous solution becomes supersaturated. This solution is capable of super cooling to room temperature without forming crystals. By clicking on a metal disc in the heating pad, a nucleation center is formed which causes the solution to crystallize into solid trihydrate crystals again. The bond-forming process of crystallization is exothermic, hence heat is emitted. The latent heat of fusion is about 264–289 kJ/kg.
Handling and Storage
Keep in a tightly closed container, stored in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Protect against physical damage. Isolate from any source of heat or ignition. Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues (dust, solids); observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product.

General Information
The most commonly used calcium salt of citric acid is tricalcium dicitrate tetrahydrate, hereinafter referred to as tricalcium citrate. In some countries such as USA, tricalcium citrate is simply denominated calcium citrate. It is produced by complete neutralization of citric acid with a high purity calcium source such as calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate.
With its high calcium content of 21%, tricalcium citrate is the most economic calcium salt among the commonly used organic calcium salts.
Characteristics
Tricalcium citrate is supplied as a white, odourless, crystalline powder or fine powder. It is slightly soluble in water and freely soluble in diluted hydrochloric acid. In contrary to other salts, tricalcium citrate is better soluble at lower temperatures (so-called "inverse solubility"). It is practically insoluble in alcohol. Tricalcium citrate loses one molecule of water at 115-125°C, and 2 more molecules at 145-150°C and the last one at 175-185°C, while decomposing.
During heat treatment, it is less reactive than other calcium salts due to its inverse solubility. With regard to its significantly better bioavailability, tricalcium citrate is preferred over inorganic calcium sources such as calcium carbonate or calcium phosphate.
Main Functions / Properties

We offer fine quality Ammonium Chloride to our clients at reasonable prices. The product is formulated using the best chemicals, and occurs in the form of a white crystalline powder. We cater to custom requirements.
The main application of ammonium chloride is as a nitrogen source in fertilizers, e.g. chloro-ammonium phosphate. The main crops are rice and wheat in Asia.
Pyrotechnics
Ammonium chloride is an ingredient in fireworks, safety matches and contact explosives.
Metalwork
Ammonium chloride is used as a flux in preparing metals to be tin coated, galvanized or soldered. It works as a flux by cleaning the surface of workpieces by reacting with the metal oxides at the surface to form a volatile metal chloride. For this purpose, it is sold in blocks at hardware stores for use in cleaning the tip of a soldering iron and can also be included in solder as flux.
Medicine
Ammonium chloride is used as an expectorant in cough medicine. Its expectorant action is caused by irritative action on the bronchial mucosa. This causes the production of excess respiratory tract fluid which presumably is easier to cough up. Ammonium salts are an irritant to the gastric mucosa and may induce nausea and vomiting.
Ammonium chloride is used as a systemic acidifying agent in treatment of severe metabolic alkalosis, in oral acid loading test to diagnose distal renal tubular acidosis, to maintain the urine at an acid pH in the treatment of some urinary-tract disorders.
Food
In several countries, ammonium chloride, known as sal ammoniac, is used as food additive under the E number E510, commonly as a yeast nutrient in breadmaking. It is a feed supplement for cattle and an ingredient in nutritive media for yeasts and many microorganisms.
Ammonium chloride is used to spice up dark sweets called salty liquorice, in baking to give cookies a very crisp texture, and in the flavouring Salmiakki Koskenkorva for vodkas. In India and Pakistan, it is called naushader and is used to improve the crispiness of snacks such as samosas and jalebi.
In the laboratory
Ammonium chloride is used to produce low temperatures in cooling baths. Ammonium chloride solutions with ammonia are used as buffer solutions.
Other applications
Ammonium chloride is used in a 5% aqueous solution to work on oil wells with clay swelling problems. It is also used as electrolyte in zinc–carbon batteries. Other uses include in hair shampoo, in the glue that bonds plywood, and in cleaning products. In hair shampoo, it is used as a thickening agent in ammonium-based surfactant systems, such as ammonium lauryl sulfate. Ammonium chloride is used in the textile and leather industry in dyeing, tanning, textile printing and to luster cotton.
