Particles and marine organisms must be removed from water before its injection into sensitive process equipment and oilfield reservoirs for water flood and enhanced oil recovery operation. The automatic cleanable cartridge filter system offered is a compact fine filter with proven low operating costs, is designed to filter widely varying water quality. These filters are used as polishing filters in process industry. The filters comprise of filter housing, filter cartridges, tube sheets, and positive sealing arrangement for cartridges to avoid bypassing. The fine filter is considered superior to media (sand) filters and more cost-effective than replaceable cartridge filters.
Features
The system offers simple, trouble free and fully automatic operation, with routine maintenance to ensure compliance with water specifications. It is of compact size and minimal weight. There is no compaction and/or replacement of media characteristic of multimedia filters. The degree of filtration and resultant water quality can be changed to meet unexpected requirements
Basket Type Strainers are widely used to remove foreign particles & debris from liquid flow. They provide an effective means to upgrade liquid quality, protect costly equipment's like bearings, valves, pumps, burners, spray nozzles, and condensers etc. Basket Strainers are also used in conjunction with a filter by installing strainer directly ahead of filter; the large heavy particles are arrested by the strainer, there, by reducing frequency of replacing element of a filter.
The objective of this process is to remove coarse suspended solids that could deposit on process equipment creating scale and corrosion sites.
Filtration with coarse filters can typically range from less than 50 microns upwards. Filter cleaning is accomplished using automatic backwashing, and is required when the differential pressure on the unit increases to the point of maximum or the flow becomes too restricted.
