It is widely used in paper manufacturing.

 

Applications

  • Helps in reducing the delamination of the ply of the board
  • Improves spring back tendancy of board.
  • Modified tapioca/maize starch used in the wet-end by means of spraying to increase the strength of ply bond in case of boards.
  • Applied on the paper machine wire through the spray bars while the web is formed.
  • In special cases, Used to improve Z-directional strength or to reduce the delamination tendency between ply. Due to low gel temperature, easily gets gelatinized.

SPAC TEX - Thin Boiling Starch has low and uniform viscosity, which does not change much with temperature unlike native starches which show wide variation in viscosity. Thin boiling starches are manufactured by acid addition to native starch slurry. Low viscosity enables its use in high concentrations without the viscosity getting too high. Its application in yarn weaving is indispensable.

We manufacture SPAC CMS – Carboxymethyl Starch is an important modified starch with unique properties due to the presence of negatively charged functional group (CH2COO-).

 

Carboxymethyl starch has a wide range of applications in industries, mostly used for the purpose of thickening, stabilization and water preserving.

Dextrins are prepared by heat treatment in presence of chemicals to suitably modify characteristics and properties of starch. Finished dextrin are very fine powder varying in color from off white to cream. White dextrinis manufactured by partially hydrolyzing starch, using of a catalyst. The dextrinization chemically reduces the starch molecules into smaller components. White dextrin is white in colour but with reduced viscosities. It is also used as an additive in the certain applications for the manufacture of Textile, Adhesive, Dye’s, food processing and paper coating.
