Food Additives & Ingredients

Our offered Product range includes Native Maize Starch, Oxidized Starch, Spac One Shot and Modified Starch.

Native Maize Starch

  • Min. Order (MOQ) 1 Container
  • Appearance Light Creamy to White Colour, Free Flowing fine Powder
  • pH 4.5 – 7.0
  • Fibre Content 1.0ml Max
  • Sieve Retention 1.0% Max
  • Ash Content 0.2% Max

The product is very consistent in quality. Maize native starch possesses special features such as non-foaming & non-thinning characteristics in boiling solutions. Hence maize starch has a marginal effect on the efficiency in weaving and paper industry, where high viscosity starch is used, it imparts higher tensile strength to the fiber and thus improves the sizing.

Application

Internal sizing, filler retention, surface sizing, paper coating (regular and color), carbonless paper stilt material, disposable diapers, feminine products

Packing

  • 50 Kgs & Jumbo Bags As per specific requirement(s).
  • Packed in printed PP woven bags.

SPAC OXY - The Oxidized Starch is derived from high quality maize / tapioca starch. It is widely used in paper manufacturing.

Properties

Oxidized Starches have the versatility to be pasted through any cooking system and will improve printability, pick, ring crush, fiber lay, fold, mullen and tensile. They are ideal as a coating base or in the coating itself. In a coating formulation, SPAC oxidized starches can provide improved ink holdout, gloss, reduced picking and controlled binder migration.

Features:

  • Superior binding strength
  • Long texture
  • Impeccable finish
  • White color fine free flowing powder, insoluble in cold water.

Applications

  • SPAC OXY is widely used as coating Binder.
  • Carbonless paper stilt material
  • Regular and color
  • Concrete block binder, asbestos, clay/limestone binder, fire-resistant wallboard, plywood/chipboard adhesive, gypsum board binder, paint filler
  • In this application, the fibre on the surface of the paper are glued and covered with a starch film. This gives the paper better writing and printing properties. The pressure in the size press rolls induce the solution to penetrate the mass of the paper, which improves the mechanical properties of the paper
  • Coating in size press modified Starch SPAC OXY is used as pigment binder.

Packing

  • 50 Kgs & Jumbo Bags As per specific requirement(s).
  • Packed in printed PP woven bags.

SPAC is surging ahead in textile and paper industries with tailor made application oriented functional product manufacturing and marketing. To enrich the product range in textile application SPAC introduced SPAC ONE SHOT series of modified starch based yarn sizing product design to suite the requirements of high speed looms. Spac one shot is a single product sizing agent and comparable with all other ingredients. Spac one shot is specially designed to fulfill the sizing need of Terry Towel industries. The sized yarn gives smooth and soft feel in addition to increased yarn tensile strength and weavability.

Modified Starch

Thin Boiling Starch is used for textile sizing application. Thin boiling starch has low and uniform viscosity, which does not change much with temperature unlike native starches which show wide variation in viscosity. Thin boiling starches are manufactured by acid addition to native starch slurry. Low viscosity enables its use in high concentrations without the viscosity getting too high. Its application in yarn weaving.
