SMART ELECTRONICS COMMUNICATION manufactures horn antennas with single linear polarization, dual linear polarization and circular polarization. Our horn antennas are ideal for spectrum monitoring, surveillance, jamming and EMC applications due to its wide band design features.
Our SHR and SHRD series horns antenna generates high electric fields required for radiated immunity and emissions EMC test measurements, and features high gain, low VSWR, moderate power handling, broadband range, and a robust mechanical design.
SMART ELECTRONICS COMMUNICATION have many years of RF design experience and the latest modelling technique allowed us to design horn antennas to as per our customers technical specifications. Gain, beam-width and operational power level requirements of horn antennas are integrated into the design process at the outset, whilst mechanical and environmental considerations are also very often major contributing factors.
Our wide band horn antennas are fitted with a convenient mounting plate which is easy to change the polarization from vertical to horizontal and vice versa with simple hand tools. Horn antennas designed and supplied with an aperture window to prevent ingress of moisture.
Our fully equipped workshops undertake all of our general manufacturing, argon welding, whilst specialized processes such as powder coating are outsourced. Horn antennas manufactured by us are fully welded. Many of our horn antennas require very demanding manufacturing tolerances, a routine aspect of the work carried out by our team of highly skilled engineers.
Once realized in the metal shop, our horn antennas are fully tested to the required specifications using a comprehensive range of calibrated test equipments. Radiation patterns and gain measurements are made on our open area test site.
Our Dual Polarized Horn Antennas enable transmission/reception, or both, of RF signals simultaneously in two orthogonal polarizations. Our SHRD series dual polarized horn antennas are great for use in RF spectrum analysis, Ideal for Interference detection and surveillance application. Our dual polarized horn antennas provide excellent isolation between two ports. Our SHRD series dual polarized horn antennas can be used to obtain Circular and Dual Circular polarized operation with a suitable hybrid coupler. Dual polarized horn antennas manufactured by us are supplied with all weather protective radomes.
A number of radome options are available, dependent on the customer requirements. These range from a simple, functional cover to prevent the ingress of dirt or air-borne particles. Extreme environmental conditions can also dictate further measures to maintain both electrical and mechanical integrity and longevity. We also design and manufacture radomes used for beam forming applications.
Simple rear mounting plates are standard on most of our horn antennas, with centre of gravity mounting points provided on heavier and larger horn antenna models. These allow mounting in two polarizations by removal and refitting.

This series is used to improve the gain of Omni Directional Exposed Folded Dipole Antenna via making a array of omni-directional folded dipoles and hence the antenna is called Omni Directional Exposed Folded Dipole Array Antenna. These Omni Directional Exposed Folded Dipoles are combined using a splitter cable. This splitter cable provides same phase difference to each dipoles.

The SLPDP series ranges of dual polarized log periodic dipole array are high gain array that provides strong performance over the operating frequency range of 20 MHz to 3000 MHz as our dual polarized log periodic dipole antenna does not use loading technique to reduce the overall size of array.
The SLPDP series dual polarized log periodic dipole antennas are particular suitable for Signal Intelligence SIGINT application, Electronic Warfare EW application, surveillance application, RCIED jamming, transmission, reception, spectrum monitoring and scanning applications due to its capability of receiving/transmitting both the vertical & horizontal (E & H) polarized signals simultaneously with 2 independently terminations.

Salient Features:Our Circular Polarized Helical antenna body structure is made up of fiberglass/ABS radome and aluminium alloy. Fiberglass/ABS has excellent Radio Signal transparency property and high strength. On client request we also provide polish coat for extra smoother finishing of radome surface. The polish coating on radome makes the fiberglass surface smoother. Helical Antennas are light weight, Broadband and Rugged Helical Antennas, supplied with fiberglass radome to protect the antenna from environment. For wide bandwidth operation with a low VSWR , the matching section uses a rigid coaxial feed with helical antenna termination , N-Female, mounted at the end for easy antenna feed connectivity. Both, Right Hand Circular Polarized (RHCP) and Left Hand Circular Polarized (LHCP) models are available. High power circular polarized helical antennas are also manufactures on request.
For higher gain requirement, the helical antenna can be supplied in DUAL stacked or QUAD stacked arrays with suitable power splitter/combiner cable harness. Rust proof Stainless Steel mounting hardware is supplied with these Helical Antennas.
Fabrication:Radiating elements are made of high quality solid copper wire. A unique matching technique is used to provide smooth VSWR over entire Frequency band. N-female connector is used for UHF and microwave band and UHF connector is used for VHF band circular polarized helical antenna. On client request we also provide DIN connector for high power use. Solid copper wire is wrapped circularly and uniform gap is implied between per circular turn for smooth radiation pattern and gain improvement. Circular polarization is fixed at the time of manufacturing. It is unchangeable at the time of antenna installation. The radome cover is made of Fiber glass or ABS. Radome cover do not allow huge ice formation on circular polarized helical antenna. It also reduce the wind load in high speed windy environment. For terrestrial communication we use heavy duty fiberglass radome cover. For satellite communication where the mounting height of Circular Polarized Helical is low, a light duty fiberglass radome with thin wall-thickness is used. The Circular Polarized Helical antenna comes with full mounting kit. All the screws, nuts and bolts of Circular Polarized Helical antenna are of stainless steel.
