These rolls are self-possessed mainly of pearlite with some cementite in the structure. adamite rolls are strolled than cast iron rolls and harder than other steel rolls. an outstanding feature of adamite rolls in that the inner hardness is about the same as that of the surface. adamite steel rolls are classified as ordinary. these rolls are used in pre-finishing to polishing stands in structure mills where wear resistance is very important along with considerable amount of strength and toughness.
Alloyed rolls are special steels alloyed with nickel, chromium & molybdenum. which is used in breakdown, roughing & intermediate mills for finishing of heavy sections. these rolls are statically cast and undergo a three stage high temperature heat treatment comprising of annealing, normalizing & tempering rotation. the rolls are available in a wide variety of composition & properties to suit specific application. the matrix structure is pearlitic or bainitic depending on the alloy content. changing the carbide distribution obatined through control of chemical composition varies the hardness. finishing rolls for sheet, plate and strip mills. intermediate and finishing rolls for small section, bar and wire rod mills. also used as cold mill rolls for ferrous and non-ferrous sheets.
Chilled Iron Rams (Pistons) are chilled casted to get100% Scratch Proofsurface for longer life of Hydraulic Seals. The surface of the Rams is hard enough to withstand almost any climate and yet smooth on seals for long life. Chilled Rams are free from all defects like sand fusion, blow holes, piping & cracks etc. We are manufactured Chilled Rams are having protected centres & having up to 0.01 micron finish These Rams are capable to bear external specific pressures. The hard and grinding mirror polished surface maintains the high hydraulic oil pressure together with the circumstantial seals.
Pearlitic spheroidal graphite rolls are concentrated characterized by nodular graphite as against flake graphite in the normal cast iron rolls. These rolls are excellent substitutes for many conventional steel and cast iron rolls due to a combination of superior strength.
The softest grade has a pearlitic matrix containing ferrite around the graphite nodules, while the higher hardness grades have a complete pearlitic matrix. The carbide content increases pro--portionally with the hardness. accicular spheroidal graphite rolls also have a thick layer of chill. here the name of such rolls is based on the fact that the material consist of nodular graphite and carbides in under cooled austenitic pearlitic -bainitic matrix. the carbide content is considerably higher in the harder grades than the softer ones.
Forging where in the material is hammered according to the customers sizes & requirements is a process in which the ingot is heated in the furnace & then forged. the forging process help in cohesiveness and strength by elongation of the grain structure, which results in material having much higher load bearing capacities as compare to casted material.heat treatment is done in normalizing / annealing furnace and forgings are ultrasonically tested thereafter.we have the capacity to forge a single piece up to 7000 kg. in plain carbon steel such as m. s., class-2, class-3, en-8, en-9 & en-42, en-31, en-19, en-24, en-41b, en-353, en-25, en-18, etc.
