Guar Meal is also used as a high protein animal feed. It has up to 55 percent of protein [O+A] and is also rich in fiber content. Husk and germ are obtained during the guar split manufacturing which is a valuable cattle feed.
Guar Meal is a by-product of guar seed processing. The extracted guar meal is further processed by toasting at high temperature to remove Trypsin Inhibitor, which results in increasing its nutritive value.
Guar Meal comes in two variant Guar Meal Churi, which is in powder form, and Guar Meal Korma which is in granular form.

Psyllium is obtained from plantage ovate or Psyllium plant. Psyllium plant grows in those regions which have abundant sunlight, and well drained and sandy soil. This is an annual crop cultivated largely in Gujarat and in some parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The botanical name of Psyllium husk is Plantago Ovata, and it is better known as Isabgol in India.
Psyllium is mucilage having a combination of xylose, aucubin, galacturonic, arabinose and semi-drying fatty oils. Psyllium husk is derived from the bent layers of dried ripe seeds of plantago ovata frosk.
The Psyllium husks are thoroughly cleaned and removed from anti-farm fibers, mud, iron particles, dust, particles, stones and other waste products. They are then graded, taking their scientific values into account, and sorted accordingly.
Psyllium consists of 80% water soluble fiber. Its mucilage has a viscosity which is undeterred by a temperature range of 68 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, pH ranging from 2 to 10 and by sodium chloride level of up to 0.15m.
The properties of Psyllium Husk
Tamarind Kernel Powder is derived from the plant TamarindusIndica which is an evergreen tree.
The cotyledon or kernel in tamarind seeds is considered as a waste. However, the kernel contains starch and gum which is processed to make into a powdered form. Tamarind Kernel powder has excellent water absorption property and high viscosity. It is applied as thickening agent in the sizing process of textile industry and printing industry. It is also applied in pharmaceutical industry for binding purpose.
Various grades are delegated to tamarind seeds, following which these are methodically grounded to powder to ensure the nutrition in it. These are then roasted and decorticated. The kernels of the seeds are separated by color sorter to obtain rich tamarind kernel powder.
Tamarind pulp is one of the souring agents in Indian curries. Its sugar and acid content makes it ideal for curries, sauces, syrups and other food beverages.
