Flannelis a softwovenfabric, of various fineness. Flannel was originally made fromcardedwoolorworstedyarn, but is now often made from eitherwool, cotton, orsynthetic fibre.Flannel may be brushed to create extra softness or remain unbrushed. The brushing process is a mechanical process where a fine metal brush rubs the fabric to create fine fibres.Typically, flannel has either a single- or double-sidednap. Double-napped flannel refers to a fabric that has been brushed on both sides.Flannel is commonly used to maketartanclothing, blankets, bed sheets, andsleepwear.
Muslinis a cottonfabricof plain weave. It is made in a wide range of weights from delicate sheers to coarse sheeting. It gets its name from the Indian port town Masulipatam, known as Maisolos and Masalia in ancient times and the name 'Muslin' originated from the name Maisolos.

Seersuckeris a thin, puckered, all-cottonfabric, commonly striped or chequered, used to make clothing for spring and summer wear.Seersucker iswovenin such a way that somethreadsbunch together, giving the fabric a wrinkled appearance in places. This feature causes the fabric to be mostly held away from the skin when worn, facilitating heat dissipation and air circulation. It also means that pressing is not necessary.It is produced in a wide variety of colors, usually alternating colored stripes and puckered white stripes slightly wider thanpin stripes.

Patchwork or "Pieced work" is a form of needlework that involves sewing together pieces of fabric into a larger design. The larger design is usually based on repeat patterns built up with different fabric shapes (which can be different colors).
