Oil lubricated stern tube are specially design for steel vessel which are welded directly to hull. The design is well taken in consideration to minimize deformation due to welding of heat. Oil lubricated stern tube required AFT & FWD seals with oil circulating systems.
This type of stern tube is directly welded to hull. These stern tubes are supplied with AFT strut which are welded to boat. The stuffing box is mounted by means of a flange on the forward section of stern tube.
Steel Struts also called as Shaft brackets or ‘A’ brackets are manufactured as single cast in special material such as steel, stainless steel, mild steel, Aluminum or Aluminum bronze. The shape of the bracket is custom designed to meet the hull shape & to guarantee the lowest drag.

These types of stern tube are mainly used for fishing boats & yachts. Depending on the application, a water inlet, usually connected to the engine cooling system can be set up on the tube close to the seal. This mounting is used when the engine / gearbox are mounted on soft pads, and there is no need for intermediate bearing between the rear bearing and coupling.
1. SERIES 'A'This stern tube assembly is used where the propeller shaft overall length is such that it requires intermediate bearing and distance between the dead and FWD face of the rudder is less, due to this outer bearing gland is not possible to use. It includes outer bearing a bronze tube & water lubricated gland assembly with half bearing.
2. SERIES 'B'This stern tube assembly is used where the engine is flexibly mounted, so there is no use of intermediate bearing and the distance between the deadwood and forward face of the rudder prohibits the use of outer bearing. It includes a outer bearing, a bronze tube and a flexible inboard gland assembly. The bearing is lubricated by water, usually supplied from the engine cooling system.
3. SERIES 'C'This stern tube assembly is used where the engine is solidly mounted to take out any deflection caused by engine movement. It includes of a outer bearing, a bronze tube and a grease lubricated gland assembly. The outer bearing is normally fitted to the vessel's dead wood. The grease lubricated gland assembly is fitted to an inboard bulkhead and is lubricated by grease
These rudders are mounted through the hull in a rubber tube fixed inside to the hull. They are generally cast in one piece either in Nickel Aluminium Bronze or Manganese Bronze. The tubes are cast in gunmetal LG2 and can be grease lubricated through an injection point provided.

The shaft couplings are manufactured in forged steel. The couplings are supplied and are machined to match the gearbox output flange. The couplings can be supplied according to rules of any classification society.
Custom propeller is well designed to match a specific vessel, engine combination & application that enable the vessel to achieve its optimum performance & smoothness. Custom designed propellers are designed to customer desired needs & provide significant benefits for vessels with maximum speed over 25 knots. It provides more efficiency, low vibration/noise and cavitations erosion; reduce fuel consumption, increase speed, smooth & quite sailing experience.
SGP Transom rudders assemblies are precision machined from one piece castings in either Nickel Aluminium Bronze or Manganese Bronze. The rudder housings are fitted with seals to prevent the ingress of water .
The GRP rudder trunk assembly is designed for hull installation. The tube should be glassed to the hull at the bottom and supported at the top by a transverse floor. The tube is manufactured from high quality marine grade GRP tube.
These types of stern tubes are usually used in High speed yachts, High speed ferry boats & passenger vessel where an intermediate bearing is may required or not required. It includes a GRP tube, flexible gland and water lubricated bearing bush. Further we provide New Zealand make Kiwi Shaft Seal along with GRP Tube which is the ultimate solution for vessel & crew safety.
SGP introduced world’s leading commercial supper cupped propeller technology with advance designs, quality material, fully CNC machined & use of robotic technology in the manufacturing process. Supper cupper propeller design has the curve in the trailing edge of the propeller blade that extends from the hub to the tip. This advance technique is used to enhance the performance of propeller in terms of speed & fuel economy for High Performance Ferry Boats.

Besides FP propellers, SG also manufactures CPP blades for most of commercial vessels like ferries, tankers, supply vessels, dredgers & super yachts.
We are manufacturing and supplying blades for CPP systems as per customer requirements. We manufacture a variety of CPP blades for propeller diameter up-to 4000mm.
We cooperate with all classification societies so that every CPP blade classified at our factory is ready for installation at site. The blades can be manufactured in alloys nickel aluminium (CU3, CU4) bronze and manganese bronze (CU1).
The fully monitored stainless steel shaft seal offers maximum protection for your vessel keeping your crew safe & dry. The design consist of a single piece of stainless steel housing with a single lip seal configuration which results in no maintenance, completely rebuild able & safe seal. This Thordon material has Lloyds, Bureau Veritas, ABS and NKK approvals. The Kiwi Shaft Seal comes with dash Mounted warning system that activates before seal is compromised due to lack of coolant. The KIWI shaft seal is breakthrough alternative to stuffing Box and mechanical type glands
