Menthyl acetate is a faded, colorless clear liquid having a mint fragrant smell. Obtained from pure and organic Mentha arvensis, it is a natural monoterpene which contributes to the smell and aroma of peppermint. It is in great requirement because of its characteristics in taste as well as perfume focuses. Menthyl acetate is the acetate ester of menthol that constitutes 3-5% of the volatile oil of Mentha arvensis oil. Methyl Chavicol is obtained by making use of fractional distillation of Basil Oil. It is much more soluble in alcohols and slightly soluble in water. Its odor is pleasant and taste is characteristic.The chemical structure of Methyl Chavicol is consists of a ring of benzene substituted by a group of propenyl and methoxy. It is also called Estragole and is a double-bonded isomer of anethole. It is always in liquid state with colorless to pale yellow in color. Although, Methyl Chvicol is the primary constituent of tarragon essential oil yet, it is also found in turpentine, basil essential oil, pine oil, fennel and anise.It provides an effective treatment for itching felt due to stings and bites from insects, honey bees and even snakes, curing vomiting and motion sickness.

Description:
Thymol is the main monoterpene phenol obtained from thyme oil or other volatile oil, isomeric with carvacrol, also known as 2-isopropyl -5- methyl phenol. Thymol is natural monoterpene phenol derivative of cymene C10H14O. Thymol is obtained from variety of Thyme plants such asThymus vulgaricus, Thymus zygis etc.
EXTRACTION:
Thymol is extracted from thyme herbs variety by using green solvent (ethanol, limonene and ethyl lactate), by pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) and supercritical CO2fluid extraction at different conditions like extraction temperatures (60C, 130C, 200C).
Properties:
Thymol is a white pellets large crystalline with a spicy herbal, odor of thyme and aromatic and has sweet , spicy and medicinal with pungent, caustic strong flavor of culinary herb thyme. Thymol shows extreme solubility in alcohols and other organic solvent but slightly soluble in water at neutral pH.
Composition:
Thymol is constituents of thymol (50-63%), carvacrol (up to 20%), para-cymene(up to 20%) with -terpinene, -caryophyllene, l-linalool, -terpinene and -pinene.
