Chilli Oleoresin is a deep red colored, semi viscous liquid extracted from dried red pepper or paprika. It draws its deep red color from various Carotenoids present in Red Pepper. Paprika Oleoresin is a natural extract without any antioxident.
Processing Method : Methodology behind making a very simple chili extract is to submerge dried chili peppers in a very pure food grade alcohol which draws out the oil of the peppers into the alcohol solution.
Applications :
Black Pepper Oleoresin is obtained by solvent extraction of ground-dried berries of Piper nigrum L. The resultant product has the characteristic aroma of black pepper, with an underlying pungency.
Processing Method : The oleoresins are manufactured by what is known as “solvent extraction process”. By extracting ground pepper with solvents and subsequently removing the solvent by distillation, black pepper oleoresin which contains both the volatile oil and piperine is left behind.
