Oil Plant And Extraction Machinery

Our Complete range of products are Oil Refinery Machinery, edible oil refinery machine, Solvent Extraction Plant, cooking oil mill machinery and solvent extraction plants.

Oil Refinery Machinery

We are making Batch and Continuous process refineries for edible oils. Both types require mainly three steps of Unit Operation called Neutra-lization, Bleaching, and Deodorization. In addition to it, some oils like palm and rice bran oil requires additional step called Fractionation. Generally, selection of batch vs. continuous depends on refining capacity. Batch set-up is ideal for smaller refining capacities upto 30 Tons per day while larger refining capacities would efficiently operate under continuous process set up. We make wide range of refining capacity set-up from 10 Tons per day up to 1, 000 Tons per day state of the art refinery complex. The sequence of the refining processes is always be 1. Neutralization - 2. Bleaching - 3. Deodorization. Each step of refining removes undesira-ble substances from the oil. Neutralization process step removes Free Fatty Acids from the oils, Bleaching can reduce the oil color and remove any residual impurities from the neutral oil while Deodorization can remove low molecular weight substances which are responsible for undesirable flavor. The first step of refining, Neutralization, can be perform by two methods called Physical and Chemical process. As their names indicate, in chemical process, it requires alkali, sodium hydroxide, to remove Free Fatty Acids from the neutral oil while physical refining can distilled off low boiling point Free Fatty Acids from the neutral oils at high temperature under high vacuum. The chemical process generate soapsoap-stock as a by-product while physical process generate fatty acids with low boiling point substances as by-products.

Neutralization process step removes Free Fatty Acids from the oils, Bleaching can reduce the oil color and remove any residual impurities from the neutral oil while Deodorization can remove low molecular weight substances which are responsible for undesirable flavor. The chemical process generate soap/soap-stock as a by-product while physical process generate fatty acids with low boiling point substances as by-products.

The second step of refining, Bleaching, can be done under vacuum and requires bleaching earth and carbon as adsorbents to adsorb color bo-dies from the oils. Once the process done under these parameters, spent earth and carbon can be filtered off by means of Filter Press or Pressure Leaf Filter to obtain low color clear oil.

The third step of refining, Deodorization, can be done at high temper-ature around 250 degree celsius and high vacuum by constantly sparging steam through the oil to distilled off low molecular weight substances from the Deodorizer vessel. Then, the oil can be cool off by incoming cold oil followed by coiled cold water circulation into cooling vessel.

Palm and Rice bran oil requires one additional process step, Fractionation, due to both oil contains high percentages of saturated fatty acids. Fractionation can be done by controlled rate cooling of refined oil to form solid particles of saturated fatty acid triglycerides followed by filtering off such saturated triglycerides will produce two products - Saturated and Unsaturated fractions. Fractionation unit comprises of chiller, compressor, condenser and special polymer filter press.

We fabricate and set up refineries which can process any oil efficiently with low maintain costs. We not only manufacture and set up refineries but also provide support to existing refineries to modify their process equipments to run at better efficiencies.

Solvent Extraction Plant

Seed-cake, low oil content oil seeds and other low oil content materials are not preferable to process through mechanical pressing. These oil bearing materials (OBM) can be process in Solvent Extraction Plant (SEP) to extract out remaining amount of oils from it efficiently. Our SEP set-up is suitable to handle up to 20% oil content OBM and produce final materials called De-Oiled Cake (DOC) with less than 0.2% oil content. We can fabricate complete set-up from 200 Tons per day to 1, 000 Tons per day in OBM processing capacities.

SEP set up divided into four sections.

1. Preparatory Section

OBM should be in smaller particle size which allows solvent passes through them and dissolve oil from remaining materials. OBMs received from Oil Mill are in big chunks which needs to be broken down into small pieces (3-5 mm) prior to extraction. It can be done by passing these OBM through series of Spike and Fluted rolls of variable sizes and shapes.

2. Extraction Section

Prepared OBM fed into extraction unit where continuous moving belt caries such materials while constant flow of solvent sprayed from the top of the material bed. Solvent percolate through material bed while absorbing/dissolving oil and leave the extractor with oil-solvent mixture called miscella.

3. Distillation Section

Miscella transferred to distillation vessel which operates under va-cuum at 90 to 110 degree celsius creating conditions to evaporate hexane from the oil. These hexane can be condensed and recovered for reuse back into Extraction section.

4. DOC preparatory Section or De-Solventiser Toaster (DT)

Extracted De-Oiled Cake carries solvent and is typically wet when leaving from Extraction section. DOC fed into DT vessel through solvent tight redler conveyor. DT is essentially vertical pan stack cooker with limpet coils having number of stages into it. Certain OBM like Soya DOC requires toasting humidifier to destroy urease activities. Finally, DOC passes through dehumidifier to maintain moisture content in it.
