Demineraliser :
Deionisation |
A De-ioniser (DI) or De-mineralizer (DM) removes minerals from the raw water by an ion-exchange method. A Demineralization Plant consists of two pressure vessels containing cation and anion exchange resins. Various types of ion exchange resins can be used for both the cation and the anion process, depending on the type of impurities in the water and what the final water is used for. The cation resin operates in the hydrogen cycle and the anion resin operates in hydroxyl cycle. The raw water first passes thru the cation exchanger, where, cations present in raw water (i.e. calcium, magnesium and sodium) are replaced with hydrogen ions. The water then passes through the anion exchanger, where, anions present in raw water (i.e. chloride, sulphate, nitrate, bicarbonates and silica ) are replaced with hydroxide ions. The treated water coming out of the anion exchanger contains very low concentration of dissolved salts, which is indicated by its low electrical conductivity. If treated water of very low conductivity ( less than 1 micro-siemens/cm.) is desired, a Mixed Bed polisher unit containing a mixture of cation and anion resins is used as a polishing unit after anion exchanger. |

A flowmeter is an instrument used to measure linear, nonlinear, mass or volumetric flow rate of a liquid or a gas. The basis of good flowmeter selection is a clear understanding of the requirements of the particular application. Therefore, time should be invested in fully evaluating the nature of the process fluid and of the overall installation. Water flow meters are durable and high quality acrylic body meters with polypropylene connections and 316SS guide and float. All flow meters have an easy to read scale which has been silk-screened onto the one piece injected molded body. Electromagnetic flow meter can accurately measure the flow rate of conducting liquids or slurries flowing in closed pipes. Free from obstruction, it does not add pressure drop to the process. Absence of moving parts eliminates the need of maintenance. The performance of the instrument is not affected by properties of the material like corrosiveness, viscosity and density. |
Online gas analyser is used to for the continues measurement of the concentration of gases in any industry process reaction modular design permits configuration and up graduation to suit specific gas to be measured functionality of this analyzer includes a set point variable mechanism which alerts the operator through an alarm enabling to correct any deviation in the designed process reaction . |
A centrifugal pump converts the input power to kinetic energy in the liquid by accelerating the liquid by a revolving device - an impeller. The most common type is the volute pump. Fluid enters the pump through the eye of the impeller which rotates at high speed. The fluid is accelerated radially outward from the pump chasing. A vacuum is created at the impellers eye that continuously draws more fluid into the pump.
The energy created by the pump is kinetic energy according the Bernoulli Equation. The energy transferred to the liquid corresponds to the velocity at the edge or vane tip of the impeller. The faster the impeller revolves or the bigger the impeller is, the higher will the velocity of the liquid energy transferred to the liquid be. The centrifugal pumps are generally used in hydrocarbon industries, refineries, petrochemical industries, fertilizers industries as well as nuclear power plants apart from agricultural and domestic applications. The multistage pumps find applications mostly in power generation & reverse osmosis process.
The driving member in this pump is a flexible diaphragm. The advantage of this arrangement is elimination of all gland packings and seals which are exposed to the liquid being pumped. This is an important feature when used with hazardous, toxic or corrosive liquids. The range of Standard Dosing sets provide a quick cost effective solution to straightforward chemical dosing application. The units are manufactured with MDPE tanks and are supplied with pump, steel mounting frame, ball valve and suction line. Options available include mixers, striners, high and low level probes. A broadly based knowledge in fields such as advanced process design, hygienic system and PLC control is available to customers. The pump can achieve flow rates up to 10000lts/hr & delivery pressures up to 400Kg/sq.cm. The multihead dosing pumps have 2/3/4 different suction and 2/3/4 variable discharges. This Facility helps to reduce the power consumption and the cost of 2/3 Motors. All the Pumps can be made to dose as per the specifications of the client.
The dosing of one, two, three or all the four pumps can be stopped easily. In these system pumps are coupled together and fitted in one base plate with single motor. The pumps are made with unique dosing system and are commonly used in sugar industry for mill sanitation where chemicals are dosed in three or four points in variable capacities. With this arrangement 2 or more liquids can be pumped to one or different points in different proportions. This can be used in other process industries also where two or more liquids/chemicals required to be dosed in different proportions.
Activated carbon is one of the most widely used medias for water treatement around the world. Activated carbon is used as a scavenging media to remove chlorine, trihalomethanes, pesticides, detergents and hydrocarbons. Chlorine is an oxidizing agent that is used widely as a disinfectant in drinking water and trihalomethanes are a biproduct of chlorine and chloramines. These chemicals negatively affect water taste and are therefore commonly removed in drinking water and by restaurants, bottling plants and food processing businesses. Activated carbon has tremendous surface area on both the external surface as well as an internal network of pores which allow it to adsorb larger organics molecules. Activated carbon is a porous material that removes organic compounds from liquids and gases by a process known as adsorption. In adsorption, organic molecules contained in a liquid or gas are attracted and bound to the surface of the pores of the activated carbon as the liquid or gas is passed through. The primary raw material used in the production of the Companys activated carbons is bituminous coal which is crushed, sized and processed in low temperature bakers followed by high-temperature furnaces. This heating process is known as activation, and develops the pore structure of the carbon. Through adjustments in the activation process, pores of the required size for a particular purification application are develop |

Accurately sized ends and gaskets, combined with a heavier cross section coupling channel extend the size and pressure range of this effective, economical connector.
The filter press is a solid liquid separation device using the principle of pressure feeding. It has been used successfully in almost every industrial filtration application for many years. It includes a series of filter plates and frames or recessed plates which are arranged alternately. The filter medium is provided in between the plates.
A feeding pump is utilized to force the liquid through the medium leaving the solid trapped inside. Compared to other pressure filters the filter press holds more solids per square feet of filtering surface area than any other. A closer is required which will be manual operated. The closer containing a controlling a follower plate presses the plates together, creating a sealed unit.
The filter press is typically less costly to install than compared to rotary drum vacuum filters, belt presses or centrifuges. It is significantly less expensive and easier to maintain and operate then the other three, and service life has been proven time and time again to be much longer.
FILTER PRESS designed in such a way to give maximum filtration efficiency and less maintenance throughout its service life. We built a solid reputation in the market from our designing of filter press which quickly and efficiently does the filtration.

Since it is not possible to carry delicate glassware out into the field for field tests, several companies/agencies/NGOs/Government laboratories have done a lot of work to bring out kits which use the titration principles but are light, can stand up to rough 'travel' and still give fairly accurate results.
These are field test kits which can be used anywhere and by anyone who can read the instructions. Titration involves using a chemical solution of a known strength in a burette to be added to a sample of water to be tested in a beaker/conical flask. A chemical indicator solution is also added to the water before titration. The solution from the burette is added to the sample in carefully controlled drops with the sample being continuously stirred. This addition is stopped when the colour of the sample changes. The burette reading taken after colour change is multiplied by a specific numerical factor.
This gives the quantity of the parameter tested for in the water in terms of mg/litre or parts per million (pm). All titration tests are colorimetric tests where a change in colour is an indication that the presence/absence of the parameter being tested had been ascertained.
Our Cartridge filters are simply quality filters, well packaged, and offered at a fair and competitive price. The Classic range is available in all of the major membranes including PP, PTFE, PES, MCE, Nylon and PVDF which comes in various sizes for filtration volumes of a few liters to several hundred thousand liters. Shiva Aqua Care Cartridge filters are specially designed and developed for bioburden reduction and sterilization of liquids in SVP, LVP, Sterile API, Fermentation, and Vaccine manufacture. Despite the attractive pricing, the emphasis is very much on quality. | ||
Cartridge filter can be surface or depth-type filter: depth-type filters capture particles and contaminant through the total thickness of the medium, while in surface filters (that are usually made of thin materials like papers, woven wire, cloths) particles are blocked on the surface of the filter. Surface filters are best if you are filtering sediment of similar-sized particles. If all particles are i.e. five micron, a pleated 5-micron filter works best because it has more surface area than other filters. Compared with pleated surface filters, depth filters have a limited surface area, but they have the advantage of depth. It can be generally stated that if the size of filter surface is increased, higher flows are possible, the filter last longer, and the dirt holding capacity increases. Cartridge filters are normally designed disposable: this means that they have to be replaced when the filter is clogged. |

The rotameter is an industrial flowmeter used to measure the flowrate of liquids and gases. The rotameter consists of a tube and float. The float response to flowrate changes is linear, and a 10-to-1 flow range or turndown is standard. In the case of Shiva Aqua Care rotameters, far greater flexability is possible through the use of correlation equations. The rotameter is popular because it has a linear scale, a relatively long measurement range, and low pressure drop. It is simple to install and maintain.
Rotameter are named after ROTA, one of the European inventors of this flow principle in the beginning of the century. ROTA invented the rotating float, which is self-guiding and has less friction in the pipe so that a more precise measurement is possible.
The basic rotameter is the glass tube indicating-type. The tube is precision formed of borosilicate glass, and the float is precisely machined from metal, glass or plastic. The metal float is usually made of stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance. The float has a sharp metering edge where the reading is observed by means of a scale mounted alongside the tube.
End fittings and connections of various materials and styles are available. The important elements are the tube and float, often called the tube-and-float combination, because it is this portion of the rotameter which provides the measurement. In fact, similar glass tube and stainless steel float combinations are generally available, regardless of the type of case or end fittings the application can demand, so as best to meet customer requirements.
The scale of the rotameter can be calibrated for direct reading of air or water, or it may have a scale to read a percent of range or an arbitrary scale to be used with conversion equations or charts. Safety-shielded glass tube rotameters are in general use throughout industry for measuring both liquids and gases. They provide flow capacities to about 60 GPM, and are manufactured with end fittings of metal or plastic to meet the chemical characteristics of the fluid being metered. The only fluids for which these meters are not suited are those which attack glass metering tubes, such as water over 90C (194F), with its high pH which softens glass; wet steam, which has the same effect; caustic soda, which dissolves glass; and hydrofluoric acid, which etches glass. The primary limitations of general purpose rotameters are the pressure and temperature limits of the glass metering tube. Small, 6 mm (1/4") tubes are suitable for working pressures up to 500 psig, but the operating pressure for a large 51 mm (2") tube may be as low as 100 psig. The practical temperature limit for glass rotameters is 204C (400F), although operation at such high temperatures substantially reduces the operating pressure of the meter. In general, there is a linear relationship between the operating temperature and pressure.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is most cost Effective & technically proven system to remove the unwanted, hazardous chemicals from the wastewater to meets the statutory pollution control requirements, especially for chemicals, pharmaceuticals, phosphating and electroplating wastewaters. A wet scrubber is an air pollution control device that removes Particulate matter and acid gases from waste gas streams of stationary point sources. The pollutants are removed primarily through the impaction, diffusion, interception and/or absorption of the pollutant onto droplets of liquid. The liquid containing the pollutant is then collected for disposal. There are numerous types of wet scrubbers which remove both acid gas and Particulate matter. Typical wet scrubber systems consist of a scrubbing vessel, ductwork and fan system, mist eliminator, pumping (and possible recycle system), spent scrubbing liquid treatment and an exhaust stack. Modern controls are used to monitor the system and make any necessary adjustments. Wet Scrubbers are common in many industrial applications including pollutant reduction at petroleum refineries, chemical processes, acid manufacturing plants, and steel making. |
