These pumps are suitable for handling clean water not containing abrasive particles and fluids, which are not chemically aggressive to the pump components. They are extremely reliable, light, economic and simple to use, finding many use in household applications, in particular the automatic distribution of water from surge tanks, watering gardens and for boosting insufficient main water pressure.
A regenerative pump is also called a turbine, or peripheral, pump. The impeller has vanes on both sides of the rim that rotate in a ring like channel in the pumps casing. The fluid does not discharge freely from the tip of the impeller but is recirculated back to a lower point on the impeller diameter. This recirculation, or regeneration, increases the head developed.
Self Priming
A Self Priming Pump is a pump which has been specifically designed to allow the pump to re-prime itself when under lift conditions.
These types of pumps are extremely efficient because they eliminate the need for ejector and vacuum pumps and also foot valves, which may become clogged and in turn may become impractical to use for remote or prolonged operation.
Designed with two cutters namely stationary and rotary cutters. The pump chops as it pumps keeping oversized solids and stringy material from clogging in the downstream. Solids, fibrous and other hard materials are pulled into the pump suction. Before these materials enter the pump impeller vanes, they are cut by the action of the two cutters, so they easily pass through the pump after being chopped several hundred times per minute. The chopper pumps ability to handle large solids and stringy materials make it ideal for use in waste water treatment applications.
A chopper pump is a centrifugal pump which is equipped with a cutting system to facilitate chopping/maceration of solids that are present in the pumped liquid. The main advantage of this type of pump is that it prevents clogging of the pump itself and of the adjacent piping, as all the solids and stringy materials are macerated by the chopping system. Chopper pumps exist in various configurations, including submersible and dry-installed design and they are typically equipped with an electric motor to run the impeller and to provide torque for the chopping system. Due to its high solids handling capabilities, the chopper pump is often used for pumping sewage, sludge, manure slurries, and other liquids that contain large or tough solids.
Designed with special cutting impeller made of hardened steel material and leading edges of the impeller brassed with carbide are tool tips. The pump is designed for Gray water pumping, Sump emptying, Septic effluent, Pumping of waste water with soft solid in suspension, hard dirt, Rubber materials, resin and plastic. Cutter pumps deliver energy of motion to slurry solids surrounding the pump intake, re-suspending them into a fluid state. These solids, which would have been otherwise buried and starved the pump of liquid, are pulled into the pump and pushed on through the discharge keeping the intake clean and free of slurry accumulation.
Sewage Agitator pumps are designed for industrial, mining and power plants or wherever the slurry solids have a tendency to accumulate, agitator pumps are the solution. Since the water always flows to the path of least resistance, a pump without mechanical agitation will only pump the water, leaving the solids behind to accumulate around the pump intake. Agitator pumps deliver kinetic energy (energy of motion) to slurry solids, which surrounds the pump intake, re-suspending them into a fluid state. These solids, which would have been otherwise buried, are pulled into the pump and pushed on through the discharge, keeping the intake clear and free of slurry accumulation.
