Swedish Pine Spruce Wooden

The most common and cultivated coniferous tree in Europe and Russia is the spruce, from which whitewood is produced. The spruce grows in moist and nutritious soil. The trunk of the spruce is covered from top to bottom with branches with short needles, growing directly out of these branches. In some growth areas, the spruce can reach heights of 60 metres and a radius of more than 5 metres.

Spruce is usually harvested at an age of 60-90 years and a height of 25 to 35 metres. The texture of spruce timber is characterised by creamy white heartwood and sapwood and therefore also called whitewood.

Redwood is often used for furniture, door and window frames, doors and moulding. Due to its open cell structure, it can also easily be impregnated, making it suitable for various outdoor uses, such as roof constructions, fencing and decking. Redwood can also be treated to make it fire-retardant.

The majority of sawn redwood is dried in special drying chambers until it reaches a moisture content of around 18% +/- 2%. Different percentages are available on request.

Americam Specise Hardwood Wooden

Wood products are known for their natural beauty, but when selecting a type of wood for your next cabinetry, flooring, furniture or millwork project, it is important to also consider the level of durability by understanding the difference between wood types. Each type and species of wood has an individual cellular structure that creates unique physical properties that determine suitability for different uses. For example, the hardness of woods varies widely, so certain hardwood species are not recommended for flooring because they are not hard enough to withstand heavy wear and tear.

Hardwoods are deciduous trees that have broad leaves, produce a fruit or nut and generally go dormant in the winter. North Americas forests grow hundreds of varieties that thrive in temperate climates

In a home, softwoods primarily are used as structural lumber such as 2x4s and 2x6s, with limited decorative applications. Woods such as white pine and cypress do break those rules and are treated in the lumber industry similar to hardwoods.

it is our business to understand our customers specific needs and to know the specifics about the wood we source.
