Heatless Type Air Dryer

REFRIGERATED TYPE COMPRESSED AIR DRYERAs the temperature of air reduces, its water vapour holding capacity comes down drastically. This principle is employed in Refrigerated type dryers. Compressed air is cooled by refrigeration system thereby reducing its water vapour holding capacity. Water vapours above the holding capacity at reduced temperature condense into water droplets and are removed in water separator. The resultant compressed air becomes dry to pressure dew point equal to its reduced temperature (generally around+2C to +8C). As long as the temperature of compressed air, as it travels through the system does not fall below the dew point temperature produced in the dryer, no more water vapours will condense into troublesome liquid in downstream air lines.
