Maize is predominantly known as corn or makai in India. According to the demand and consumption statistics, maize is the third most important cereal after wheat and rice. The demand of maize is increasing at a higher rate than that of wheat and rice and it may exceed the demand of its competitor cereals someday. Maize, cultivated across all the countries, has an interesting composition that comprises of 70% carbohydrate, 10% protein, 10.4% albuminoides, 4% oil, 2.3% crude fibre and 1.4% ash. Maize also contains considerable amount of vitamin A, nicotinic acid, riboflavin and vitamin E. In some countries maize is used as fodder for the cattle. India's contribution in maize exports is increasing year on year. India managed to export a whopping 2, 825, 610.60 million tons of maize worth of Rs.4, 037.50 Crores during the year 2014-15 .

Cumin seeds or Buniumpersicum or Jeera widely known for its medicinal properties and conventionally consumed as an additive in main course items was used in Roman times and are still considered to be one of the classic ingredients in Tuscan cuisines. Cumin seeds evolved from Mediterranean and soon was embraced by India and other Asian countries. Cumin is grown in India, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, China and parts of America. The current yield of cumin seeds in world is around 300, 000 tons per year and in India is approximately 200, 000 tons per year with Gujarat and Rajasthan being the leading producers. Cumin seeds are added to majority of dishes as it imparts subtle natural sweetness to the cuisines. We advise customers to buy whole cumin seeds instead of cumin powder as with time the powder loses its flavor and properties. The cumin seeds are packaged in a way to conserve its freshness for longer period.
India is the largest producer and consumer of cumin in the world. Keshavam International procures best quality cumin seeds from Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab. The consignment is machine cleaned and dried to maintain the moisture at 10%. The processing is done under controlled conditions to maintain quality and aromatic flavor. Castor seeds or Ricinuscommunis is known across the world for its non-edible oilseed. Castor plant originated in the tropical belt of Africa and India. India being the biggest exporter of castor seeds for commercial purposes contributes to approximately 70% of total castor seeds exported across the world.
Castor seeds are of great value to various industries such as cosmetics, surface coatings, toiletries, pharmaceuticals, perfumes, soaps, lubricant and medicines. Castor oil and its derivates may be used in either crude form or refine hydrogenated form. The pricing of castor seeds supplied by us depends on international markets as the demand is fluctuating because of castor becoming important source for bio-fuel industry. Castor seeds supplied and exported by Keshavam International are of special grade and can be further processes to manufacture derivatives of castor seeds. We procure fine quality castor seeds from the farms in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. Gujarat alone accounts for 86% production of castor seeds. Castor is mainly cultivated in Mehsana, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Saurashtra/Kutch regions of Gujarat and Nalgonda, Mehboobnagar, Prakasam, Guntur and Ranga Reddy in Andhra Pradesh. Total area for castor production in India was estimated to be around 7.87 lakh hectare in 2008-09. The Solvent Extractors Association of India predicts a good yield of castor seeds as per the acreage data.

India is the 5th highest producer of Soybean seeds falling in the league of US, Brazil, China, Argentina, Paraguay, Canada and Indonesia. India is also 3rd highest consumer of soybean in the world.
Soybean grown in hot and humid climate is also known as miracle crop. Soybean, a khariff crop, takes around two months' time to mature. Shedding of leaves on soybean plant is an indicator of harvesting and maturity of seeds. Annual production of soybean in India is approximately 7 million tons. The production of soy oil accounts to around 1 million ton and this is around 18 per cent of total oil consumption in India. Madhya Pradesh is the leading producer of soybean seeds in India. Out of the total consumption in India, 10-12% of soybean production is consumed directly and the rest in the form of its derivatives. 65% of soybean is exported to coutnries such as South Korea, Thailand, Philippines and Japan. Soybean trade happens in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Mandsore, Astha, Nagpur, Sangli, and Kota. Soybean yield is dependent on the amount of rainfall in a particular year. The price of soybean is highly volatile as it is affected by the international market price.
Coriander also known by other names such as Coriandummsativum, Cilantro, Chinese parsley ordhania belongs to the Apiaceae family. Coriander originated in the plains of Europe and North Africa and travelled all the way till Southwestern Asia. A superior quality of coriander seeds have pleasant, aromatic and spicy flavor to it. It is considered to be both a herb and a spice. It is used in cooking and medicines since a very long. Coriander seeds are powerhouse of potassium, vitamin A, C and K, iron, magnesium, folic acid and calcium. Coriander seeds supplied and exported by Keshavam International are harvested, dried and separated through traditional processes. Coriander seeds can be used in pickles, cookies, chutneys, curries and breads. Coriander Seeds are diuretic in nature and aid the process of digestion.
