It is a fast , accurate method to derive direct moisture % in a sample by Loss on Heating Method. Heating arrangement consists of a 250 watt heating lamp with a solid state power stat to control rate of drying and also temperature.
For quick determination of moisture content of materials in power from i.e. soil, send, coal, pottery, ganister, cement etc. A weighed quantity of the substance under test is placed in the body of the tester together with a measured quantity bringing the sample and the absorbent into intimate contact. The pressure of gas librated by interaction of moisture in the sample and absorbent actuates the guage which is directly graduated in percentage moisture on the wet weight basis. A conversion chart is provided for converting percentage moisture content on the wet weight basis to percentage moisture on the dry weight basis.
The unit consists of a pressure vessel with clamp for sealing cap rubber sealing gasket, pressure gauge calibrated in percentage moisture content to 25% on the wet weight basis, counter poised balance for weighing sample, Scoop for measuring absorbent, bottle of absorbent, cleaning bursh. Complete in wooden carrying case with handle.
The Unit can be used to determine percentage moisture contents on the wet weight basis upto 25% which is equal to 33.3% moisture on the dry weight basis.
Rapid Moisture Meter- As above but the pressure gauge is calibrated in percentage moisture content to 50% on the wet weight basis which is equal to 100% moisture content on the dry weight basis.

The apparatus consist of :
a. Glass plate 200 mm x 150 mm
b. Porcelain evaporating dish 120 mm dia.
c. Brass rod 3 mm dia., 100 mm. long.
d. Flexible spatula with 80 mm. long 20 mm. wide blade.
e. Moisture Tins 50 mm. dia 12 Nos.
Meet the requirements of BIS 2720 Part v and consist of a brass bowl held on an adjust able bracket. The bowl can be adjusted for a fall of 1 cm and raised and dropped on a rubber of standers hardness by cam action. Rubber feet are provided to eliminate rocking while operating. Complete with one Casagrande grooving Tool and one ASTM Grooving tool and height guage.

As perIS 2720This apparatus is used for the in place determination of the dry density of compact, line and medium grained soils and for layers not exceeding 50cm thickness. The complete apparatus consists one each of Small sand pouring cylinder, 3 litre capacity fitted with conical funnel and shutter. Cylinder calibrating container, internal dia 10cm and internal depth 15cm dia hole in the centre.
