ConstructionThe Micro Pulverizer is lined with serrated liner on the top and perforated screen at the bottom and consists of hopper, chrome steel plate screw, chrome steel plated rotor, shaft with rotor fitted with hardened steel beaters, mounted on two heavy duty ball bearings, variable speed pulley, V-Belts, cotton bag, balloon and a set of 3 sieves. The entire machine is mounted on a common steel structure and is complete with 440/3/50 cycles totally enclosed electricals. Model 6 & Model 8 are provided with jacket arrangement for heating or cooling. Principle of PulverizingMicro Pulverizer consists of a rotor assembly fitted with hammers (beaters) & is generally operated at high speeds. The grinding action in all the pulverizers is due to the impact between rapidly moving hammers (beaters) & the particle itself. The energy of the moving hammers is dissipated into the particles being ground by virtue of their inertia, thus causing the particle size reduction.

PrincipleThe material to be ground is conveyed from the hopper :
  • to the grinding chamber by the variable fees screw mechanism
  • The grinding occurs when the product comes into contact with a pin or bar type rotor disc.
  • As the product size is reduced it is conveyed by an airstreams which enters below the rotor assembly via shroud and baffle ring
  • The particles are then deflected by an air dispersion ring
  • To the separator assembly

Oversize particles are returned by the internal airstreams to the rotor disc for further reduction. Safety DevicesAll ACM mills are required with protection devices for safe operation. These measures include a safety switch on he cover of he grinding chamber. It is there by ensured that the drive motors cannot be switched on when the grinding chamber cover is open.
  • Electrical Equipments : The plant is supplied along with a control panel and MCC, which provide the necessary interlocks and operating switches
  • Machine Frame : The mill and all drive components are mounted on a rigid welded steel frame. All rotating parts are dynamically balanced floor smooth operation. There is no need for special foundation.
  • Rotor Assembly : The assembly comprises of the following components: the separator wheel assembly, the rotor disc, bearing housing and the V-belt pulleys. The complete assembly is secured to the grinding chamber housing by four retaining bolts. All bearing is lubricated and are protected against ingress of ground product and dirt, moisture by means of special sealing rings.
  • Grinding Chamber : The Grinding Chamber is sealed by a hinged cover held in position by hand wheels. When the hand wheels are released the entire cover assembly tilts upwards giving access to the milling components, these consist of: the air dispersion ring, the shroud and baffle ring, multiple deflector liners and the rotor assembly.
  • Drives : All driven motors are fixed to the chassis and are easily accessible, power is transmitted by V-belts. A tachometer is supplied to indicate the speed and allows operator at a glance to select the correct speed for any pre-determined product fineness.

The Hydraulic column comes complete with hydraulic cylinder, piston rod, power pack unit, valves 1HP electric motor and interconnecting pipelines and hoses.
  • Vessel Locking : A vessel locking device consisting of locking arms, centering device, and manually operated screw is provided.
  • Vessel (optional) : The vessel is fabricated from SS 304 plates and is provided with 3 nos castor wheels, SS 304 blttom discharge ball valve and towing handles.
  • Control Panel (non Flame Proof / Flame Proof) : A control panel duly powder coated is provided with the followings functions. Main motor on off, ammeters, voltmeter, emergency stop, inverter trip, indicating lamps, speed control switch, RPM indicator and MCB. All internal wiring is per international codes of practice.

The material which has passed through the screen cloth falls on the top of bottom deck. This material also moves towards periphery and flows out through the discharge spout. The material movement towards periphery can be controlled precisely by adjusting the angle between the top eccentric weight and bottom eccentric weight as the adjustment of angle leads to different flow patterns.

  • Shaft and Bearings : The main shaft is of suitable steel and is amply proportioned to withstand the loads imposed on it by the centrifugal forces caused by all normal uneven distribution of the charge in the basket. The bearings supporting the main shaft are heavy duty ball/roller bearings which have a statistical life of 5000 or more running hours. These bearings are grease lubricated. Grease retainers are fitted to ensure long lubricating intervals.
  • Basket : The basket shell which is normally perforated (but can also be without perforations if so required by the client) is adequately thick to withstand the loads caused by the centrifugal forces developed by the charge in the basket. The shell as well as the top flange can be supplied in M.S. rubber-lined or S.S. (AISI 304 or 316). The basket bottom plate is of M.S. and lined at the inside surface by rubber or 16 swg S.S. as applicable. The basket hub is of close grained cast iron.
  • Vibration Suspension : These centrifuges are fitted with heavy duty three point Pendulum suspension for vibration absorption. Hemispherical bearings are used at both the ends of the suspension rods.
  • Drive System : The drive system consists of a 415V/3 Ph/50Hz squirrel cage induction TEFC electric motor which drives the basket through V-belts. The motor is mounted at the basket casing (outer drum) and there is provision for tensioning the belts. All models are fitted with Centrifugal clutch pulley at the motor shaft. Oscillating Granulator

Oscillating Granulators are recommended where there is production of tablets or pellets. Used for both dry and wet granulation process, our Oscillating Granulators form better quality granules than Multi Mill, Comminuting Mill etc. All contact parts of our Oscillating Granulator are manufactured from stainless steel with mirror polish on them.
